Wow. My property tax bill increased drastically.... Just kidding. It went down some as expected.

Stated more honestly, you can't refute what I said with truthful information. I did not say it was all Bush's fault or all the republicans fault. I said it is impossible that it could be the fault of people who were not in office when it started. Kind of simple really. Present day, we do have folks who hope things get worse before November so their party will gain. Question: why is love of party over country acceptable in some circles? Rub the sleep out of your eyes. The mess was really really bad before Obama took office. It had started and was accelerating before we voted in 2006.

They speak for themselves. Why wouldn't someone vote for the better candidate from either party? I do it every election. I vote for republicans and democrats, sometimes independents, libertarians, etc in other words whoever I've looked into that makes the most sense to me. I do this even though I support mostly (especially in local elections) republicans. I campaign for republicans every election. Will is simply a better prospect. It is that simple. I would vote for him if he ran as a republican. Why would anyone vote straight ticket no matter how bad a candidate might be? Maybe because t

Unemployment peaked at slightly less than 10 percent (about what it is now) while Reagan (his term must have been about 10 or 11 years acoording to your reckoning since he did all this magic and then did 8 more years of stuff after the first 2.5 years) was in office. It rose to and stayed at barely less than 10 percent until the summer of 1983, about 2-1/2 years after he took office. That is history not open to much interpretation. Yes, inflation was much higher then than now. The folks with the fake recent deficit religion aren't facing that deflation is probably more dangerous to us now. The

Maybe we are like computers and as we accumulate data the hard drive is too nearly full. Thus data searches/retrieval take longer as we get older. If you are 23, getting enough sleep and are generally healthy, you shouldn't be having memory problems. Ironically, our brains peak in raw ability at about 18 years old. It sort of compensates for youthful ignorance some I suppose. Our brains slow down as we age but some of that is because we have more knowledge stored in them. (till we get really old or sick)

You are doinitrite. I have about 93,000 on the same tire model you mentioned (on a 4 wheel drive truck) and also use full synthetic and about 10,000 oil change interval. I heard a CAR TALK (the radio show) caller who said her BMW (factory supplied maintenance for 50,000 miles) gets an oil change every 15,000 miles per dealer recommendation. They use the 15,000 mile rated oil (slightly better version of Mobil 1) and upgraded oil filter for the longer interval. Front end alignments are another thing that are severely misunderstood. I bought my truck nearly new (less than 18,000 miles) and ha

I run a small business and am an employer (for now at least, I could end up being an employer of myself only.) Health care costs are submarining our economy way more than unions ever have. Whether you meant to sound haughty or not, you were sort of rubbing it in Whitey's face that you have more than he does. The truth is, lots of people are struggling. It started long before our most important current (local and national) politicians even ran for the offices they hold now. It really is easy to be frustrated and try to assign blame to current office holders. We need more pulling

Correction to what you said: The meltdown was underway before we voted in 2006 and the new folks we elected in 2006 started learning where things are around the house and senate after they took office in 2007. Still have that time travel thing we can't do yet negating that argument...

This whole country, all of us, inherited a huge economic meltdown that was caused and was accelerating before Obama was even a senator. And, unless truth means nothing, remember that unemployment continued to rise for over 2-1/2 years after Saint Ronald the Reagan took office. As a further warning against the dangers of revisionist lies, please note the undeniable reality that Reagan inherited a much stronger economy than Obama did. Obama also inherited 2 wars, one of which never should have happened. Truth matters. So yes, the financial news, though better than it was when Obama took off

Semantics aside, there is irrational fear of Islam here and many other areas of the world. What Hitler did does not make me fear Christians. Zealotry and fanaticism can exist in people who claim all sorts of backgrounds. Bin Laden is no decent Muslim. He is a murderous scumbag liar. He was born in a predominantly Muslim country but his evil ways don't really have anything to do with religion other than possibly religious fanaticism. Fanaticism in a false Christian can be just as dangerous.
-
It is ludicrous to say that the proposed new building would be a monument to the murderers. You attacking american freedom of religion is more a monument for Bin Laden (who is about as Muslim as Hitler was Christian) than the new building can ever be. They already have another location. It is the nearby local mosque that is overflowing with local worshipers. Right now, the overflow is already using the old local building that is on the site where the proposed new local building may be built. The nearby local mosque is for nearby local worshipers who want to continue using the nearby local

I'm not building the mosque. Many Muslims died because of those terrorist murderers. I'm not referring to the Saudi Arabians in the planes who murdered all those people. I mean the Muslims on the ground and in the buildings. (the real ones)
-
Your statement is very apropos to the moment. It describes how at least some Judeo-Christian posters are revealing themselves.
-
The reason they want to build a community center (with less than 1/6 of the building to be used as a mosque) is because their very close proximity existing mosque is not large enough to serve the existing LOCAL congregation, can not be expanded AND (did I mention?) they are seeking to serve local worshipers. They had rather expand the existing location but for varius reasons can't. The old Burlinton Coat Factory building they wish to replace is already being used for these purposes. They simply wish to have a larger facility. Would you deny a Catholic congregation their right to build near

Shenanigans, the person that wrote the "novel" as you call it seems to be a much better human being than you are. She was right in pretty much all she said. It would be stupid to blame all Christians for evil that is done by liars doing evil claiming to be Christian. It takes an uniformed/misinformed dolt doofus ignoramus to blame what those scumbag liar terrorists who, by the way, blasphemed Islam, did in their terrorist attacks. When Americans seek to deny constitutional rights because it's not the "right" people wanting to build there, Bin Laden is well on the way to achieving exactly w

My guess is that a contributor or 2 would "look bad" or smell bad re: who of the old guard is backing her. Or was money passed through somene else to hide the actual source? The smoke is thick and suggests some unsavory backing.

The last Bush budget expired in October/November (I don't remember which month) of 2009. The first Obama budget started less than a year ago. Without doubt, he inherited the worst mess (not just the worst economy since the 1930s)of any president since FDR. What you said about accumulated deficits is very, very far from the reality of our fiscal history. The salient important point is that ALL presidents except the 3 "conservatives" I cited lowered the GROSS DEBT during their terms. ALL other presidents since WW2, the real conservatives, the moderates and even the liberals LOWERED THE GROS

I know Will well but can't claim to speak for him. But logically, he wanted to run and was not strongly hooked to either party. What would his chances have been joining the crowded field in the Republican primary? It was just a logical decision to have better prospects. I vote for and support Republicans in many instances but vote for who is the better candidate no matter which party they are from from. I do not worship the R or the D. I'll also admit to a little confusion as to what is conservative these days. Have you noticed that since Obama will likely not be able to reduce the Gross

Paulding County BOC passes millage rate increase
rbpls replied to LPPT's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Supposedly the net effect will be a lower tax bill for most (about 3/4) of property owners in Paulding. Would some of you be happier if there were a lower millage rate on the old higher values that would yield a larger amount due on your next bill? HUH? So, a lower tax bill is a big tax increase because the millage rate is higher? A biggger tax bill with a lower millage rate would please you? Disingenuous a bit perhaps? -
With no actual allegation and no reason to believe there is any truth to it, I think Pubby might have been more concerned with the dishonest smear it is. Have you stopped beating your wife?
-
A homeowner who owns the same house and property they owned for several years should have a smaller tax bill (the next one) than before or very nearly the same. How is this a big tax increase?
-
I agree. Most will pay some small amount less. It is hardly a big tax increase across the board. A small few will pay more. Most will pay less. Austin has managed well considering the mess he was left with. The budget was trimmed significantly two years in a row. The sky is not falling. It fell before Austin took office. The adults are now cleaning up the mess.

Commisioner David Austins ad in the paper this week
rbpls replied to LPPT's topic in Paulding County NEWS
I live in Post 2. I will vote for Todd (again) in the run-off. He is simply the more qualified candidate. Pownall is honest, decent and smart. I don't always agree with him politically, but I do believe I can count on his integrity, competency and decency. I also have knowledge of some of the good works he does without puffing himself up about it. We could not do any better than him for this office. We lose if he doesn't win this election. -
A divorce is basically a lawsuit. The county where it was filed has it under both names. Cobb County on line records go back farther than most counties so you might get it by the link referenced above. Search algorithms are sometimes fooled by too much info so try different ways the name(s) could (with/without middle names, initials, either/both names, etc.) be listed. If property was deeded from one person to the other as part of the decree, there will also be that cross referenced info.

My understanding is that it will be a trailhead as you say. I'm not sure how the path to link to the trail will run though. Now if we can just get some parking downtown...
