  1. Yeah, soap and shampoo work great if you have a source for water and a place to bathe. I'm betting homeless = neither. The note could say: Hope you don't choke on the granola - good luck!
  2. Aren't ADD and ADHD different from one another? If not, why not call them both the same thing?
  3. There was a small house on Braswell Mountain Rd on the left after you turn off 61N, (across from the old fire station) but the for rent sign doesn't have a phone number so not sure who or how to contact about renting. You might ask over at the store (A&R) on the corner, or some of the neighbors - unless you happen to know who owns the house.
  4. Why can't we just agree/accept that there are good officers who try to do their jobs correctly and bad officers who abuse their authority or do not have the temperament for the job or ability to discern when the use of deadly force is appropriate and when it is not? Firing a weapon (shooting to kill) should be the very last resort. And yes I know it's a split-second decision they have to make but there are cases where people have been shot fleeing who posed no threat to safety (no weapon, fleeing in the opposite direction, etc) and I have to wonder how much TV and movies have influence
  5. What a waste of time. The only answer any of those participating need give: "more of the same" - which ain't much.
  6. The area of Ingles and Paulding Plaza were annexed into the city of Dallas years ago.
  7. Yeah I drink my share of sweet tea, too. No soda of any kind, unless that is literally the only thing available.
  8. Specifically it looks like it is across from the little wjhite church on the left, I think it is Liberty or New Liberty church.
  9. Appears to be off Hwy 101 between Yorkville and Beulah (old Scott's store area)
  10. What, he stayed overnight again? Did he ever reach his parents? Do you know for sure that he tried? Sounds to me like someone taking advantage...geez.
  11. And half as much as their fellow Christians have raised. More than a marginal effort. Wonder how you all would react if the situation were reversed and it was Christians making an effort to help Muslims who had been burned out of their houses of worship?
  12. I hope if we do find another world with some form of life that it is well outside our range of travel, and therefore our influence.
  13. It appears there won't be any serious consideration of the accelerating loss of species we are experiencing until the losses culminate in the loss of the human species, at which point it will be too late.
  14. There is a difference between knowing there is evil in the world and giving up your freedom and rights because you live in constant fear of it. When you've beaten the peace-breakers with that big stick going on two decades and the situation just keeps getting worse, at what point do you consider maybe you've taken the wrong approach? Not sure what the answer is, but then again neither you nor I must make the sacrifice required to continue administering the beating, either.
  15. Could be a condition set by their insurer, too, given the increased exposure for fire.
  16. Your dad was a good locksmith and a wonderful person
  17. Not anymore. Most of them now probably work out of their residences. I know my ex did.
  18. There was a very detailed post on here (I think it was here) a few years ago by someone who saw a horrible accident involving someone on a sport bike who was driving recklessly. It still comes to mind when I see or hear of someone flying on one of those bikes...
  19. Great to hear he is improving - serious lung issues can be difficult to overcome. Take care-
