ACA upheld by Supreme Court.
rednekkhikkchikk replied to CitizenCain's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Med pay is an optional coverage you must 'opt-in' to buy. Not sure why that should cause auto insurance rates to decrease, since it's a separate charge and isn't mandatory anyway. In fact, the scenario you described already took place, back in the '90s when Tim Ryles did away with 'no-fault' *(personal injury protection) as part of the mandatory coverage required in this state. Liability premiums decreased (I believe) about 15% and medical payments became an optional coverage. -
THE AIRPORT AND THE CHAMBER OF MONEY

Whose comments are these? It appears to be something quoted that was said by Pubby, but the writing style certainly doesn't appear to be his-nor does the sentiment expressed align with some of his previous posts. If improperly quoted it should either be deleted and reposted or corrected to reflect the actual author of the post. If it is a quote from Pubby - wth? -
There was a big stalk of it behind the office, but the landscape guys cut it down and threw it in the hole where the ground hogs live yesterday.

Sounds like it could use some pruning. Hate to take the lazy route but I am due to leave work in a minute so here is a quickie lesson on black spot on roses - basically its a fungus if that is the problem, this tells the remedy and how to prevent: http://www.bhg.com/advice/gardening/roses/leaves-with-brown-spots-on-roses/ Good luck if that is the problem (or if it isn't for that matter) - I love roses, I have an old fashioned climbing one that came with my house. The flowers don't last long but so pretty while they are in bloom!

Recent Armed Robberies in Hiram
rednekkhikkchikk replied to marine0351's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Ok per the lady at the store, it was not a robbery. Was a situation involving a parent and two kids who were possibly sleeping in a car there overnight or something along those lines. Since it isn't something involving public safety in the immediate area, that's all I care to know. -
Recent Armed Robberies in Hiram
rednekkhikkchikk replied to marine0351's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Not heard anything about Hiram incidents but this morning there were several police cars, an ambulance and fire rescue up at the convenience store on W Memorial that was robbed (where the lady was shot) awhile back. They installed some serious bulletproof enclosure right afterward, so hopefully if someone were so brazen to do it again that would have prevented her suffering injuries as a result. Haven't heard anything about it so far today. -
It is pretty traumatizing to some pets, as well. The first year I had her, my little dog freaked out and forced her way out of the fence and was just gone. Try finding a tiny mostly black dog at night out in the sticks... Spending that kind of money to annoy your neighbors, waken (and in many cases frighten) sleeping babies and inspiring anxiety in the animals in your 'hood. Aren't you the one!

How much nerve does it take to change your 'view' of your own pregnancy to suit popular opinion or put a stop to criticism in the media? She and her mom are both whacked in the head and neither seems very honest (or smart) to me. Money or not, white trash redneck hypocrite is forever.

Good news about the MRSA - that stuff is bad, bad news. Especially when it affects your lungs. -

There is only one sentence of the story shown? -
Unless there is a post missing OR the video makes it about being a Republican, looks to me like you said it before he did. But I don't watch the videos so maybe there is some context missing.

So would I, and good riddance to it all (except the AC, I'd keep that)...

Maybe this point has already been brought up, I haven't read much of this thread (and don't intend to), but it occurred to me yesterday - what should matter is her job performance. And why, of all organizations, does the NAACP ask for race on an employment application, anyway? Most of the time it is not mandatory that you provide race on an application or questionnaire.

As long as there is some form of the Patriot Act to nullify certain parts of it, what difference would it make, really? -
Were up to me, it wouldn't be an actress or performer - except maybe someone like Lucille Ball, who was not only an actress but also the first woman executive to own a studio. You know, one who had other notable accomplishments. There have been so many great women throughout history it is tough to pick just one.

The fact that Obama and the GOP are pushing so hard for it should be everyone's clue that there is something inherently wrong with it.- 8 replies

The police have to deal with stressful, sad, threatening, annoying and dangerous situations all the time. If they can't handle it in a professional manner (without swearing and throwing young girls down on the ground) they need to find a new line of work. There are a lot of brats and punks in the world, people have to deal with them every day. Whether or not the case against the officer was dismissed, the newspaper said he had attended training classes in diversity and racial profiling, so obviously, someone higher up thought there was a problem that needed fixing... While I don

Yeah, after doing a little reading I can see how that might be somewhat of a concern. I did see where it was mentioned that pepper spray is pretty effective at getting rid of them if one comes too close. Probably just scrounging around for something to eat.
-
I would assume that means they would also be pretty protective, so definitely don't try to get too close if it comes around. Would a bear go after a dog unprovoked? Somehow that doesn't seem likely but then again I know nothing about bears except what I've seen on TV and in the movies...

Not clear how someone's criminal record would have anything to do with their health care being covered by Medicaid?

At least when the Titanic sank, the people were busy dancing and eating and drinking. We're all just furiously typing away, posting junk on social media and message boards.

Not sure what to say. 'I told you' so doesn't bring any satisfaction whatsoever. Sad that we have reached this point, because it is destroying what makes America great - freedom. And this, I feel, is the real reason behind much of the nostalgia and longing for the good old days - back then everything wasn't a criminal act, the government and/or police weren't present in every aspect of our lives, etc.-so yes, in many ways it WAS better. In my opinion, THIS is the win for terrorism. The loss of freedom we have endured and the fear and expectation of protection that has made us ba
