  1. Yes, it was terrible. I switched to AM....less static. Weird, right?
  2. they were heavy on CHJames when I came through this morning too.
  3. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope the Cap'n was good to you today!
  4. The Jesse of the brothers that I also know...from Mtown? I ain't been on Pcom long as you. I think you must be *OLD* or sumpin.
  5. I had a gut feeling she ran away.
  6. there used to be an old man in Douglas County that was like that (abusing/killing livestock). They finally, after many years, were able to stop him from owning animals. A lot of animals died before it actually happened though. So sad.
  7. Is it emaciated or without water? If not, there isn't anyone to report it to. Georgia Equine Rescue league is a good start. You can take pictures if the horse looks bad and is without water. Take a video or picture and post it on their facebook page. Their website is My link If it's an old horse, chances are it's gonna look bad just because it's old. I have a hard time keeping weight on my old horse. I changed feed last year and before I knew it, she had dropped about 300 pounds. Needless to say, I changed feed again and found one that suits her better and was able to put some weight
  8. I'd also try to record them riding by trying to intimidate you.
  9. I think she ran away, or at least I hope it is that as opposed to something afoul.
  10. Oh lawdy....we have one of those. I assume it was plugged up and charging something. I guess I'll make my honey do a safety check of things in the shop. Thanks!
  11. what caused the explosion? Just wondering because hubby has a shop that shares space with my barn. I'm so glad no one was hurt and your house is okay!!
  12. my deepest sympathies to you and your family. I cannot imagine how you feel. I'm so sorry.
  13. I quit cold turkey. Honestly, I took it hour by hour. I would typically smoke one every hour that I was awake. Those hours turned into a day and it's been about 8 years now. After a few months, I didn't even crave them anymore. It is not an easy thing to do but one thing you have to do is *really* make your mind up that you are *DONE*. Gum, straws, hard candy, brushing your teeth when you have a craving....those things help take your mind off of the habit part. If you're stressed, breathe deep, do some stretching if you can. But in your head, smoking is not an option that will help you
  14. AND....somebody please send me the key to open the door......
  15. I marinade mine in milk, eggs and some low sodium seasoned salt overnight. Then I put flour either on a plate or in a ziplock baggie, add pepper and a tablespoon or so of seasoned salt. Roll the tenders around in the flour and get them good and coated. Then dip them in the marinade again and reflour them. Drop them in a pot with at least an inch of hot canola oil and let them fry for a bit. I use a meat thermometer to make sure they get to the right temperature and immediately pull them out at 180 degrees. Yum.
  16. I just sent the link to DH to see if he's interested.
  17. Because reading an article on the internet makes you an authority on growing chickens...from the farm to market. Surepip. Keep up the good work. I personally have friends with very large grow operations. They are fine people and send a fine product to market. No farmers, no food.
  18. I also subscribe to this same feeling about spam. I don't want 45 different emails in the same week about their new "sale". No more than once per week for updates that I signed up for. Period.
  19. maybe a 10 commandments yard sign... regardless of your religious affiliation, they are still pretty good rules that bad people don't like to adhere to. LOL.
  20. I totally lost a diamond with a screw back. It was so weird...it would always try to unscrew itself no matter which ear I wore it in. I probably should have taken it back to OMGHEWENTTOJARED so they could fix it but I lost it before I had a chance.
