horrible, horrible experiences lately. I will not go back. The last straw was the day I waited in line for an hour, ONE HOUR, for them to tell me that my perscription was not filled yet but it had been dropped off 2 hours before I stood in line. My kid was sick and miserable. It took them an additional 30 minutes to fill my script when it was my turn at the register. I will not go back...period...ever.

I had a retention pond...on my property, that's the way the developer designed it and there was no HOA. My house was built in 1990. It was the county's responsibility to maintain it and they actually did come out once and clear out the culvert and put in rip rap but it took several months to get them to do it. My plat had it figured in as county easement and I was compensated at the closing for the value of the easement when I purchased the home.

easy way to aquire funds for a cash strapped county! I was informed by a nice, handsome policeman about gore lines when he pulled me over for crossing them once. Learned my lesson! Thankfully, he really was nice and didn't ticket me but that was a few years ago before the economy went south.

wonder where the perps are from? It would also be interesting to know how or why they picked Hiram as their target. Inquiring minds want to know....

did you call the phone number listed in the letter you received or did you look up the phone number for Reader's Digest and call? That may make a difference.

This is so cool....I'm at work...hubby was at home depot and said "something is happening in Hiram right now, you should see all the police! So, I popped in here on Pcom and BAM, right away this topic is up top. I've been following this since it happened. It's like watching a police/car chase on tv....only without the tv!

One of the blessings of belonging to a church family is that they know your needs and usually are there to help or provide before you need to go to the community or government route. Sometimes, depending on the situation, your church family is able to sustain you so you never need to seek services elsewhere. If you don't have a church family, then those in need tend to seek services from the community or government. Those services could be considered a blessing but the love, care and concern is not there coming from an entity like that. That's kind of how I see it and experienced it in

I *think* it depends on the activity you want to enroll in. The horse & pony club says it's okay for 2nd/3rd graders and up.

a lot. You can find a concrete calculator on line to find out how much you need and then call to find out how much it is a yard. It's gotta be over $100 per yard now cause 20 years ago, it was about 68$ a yard. (I worked for a construction company)

shoot, I've already spent way more than a reem of paper and a box of tissues this year. I've probably sent at least $100 worth of stuff (x2) to both of my kids teachers to help.

I heard the same thing! I wonder how that will fare. So, with that many teachers getting the axe, what do you guys think the student/teacher ratio will come to? Oh, and I agree that we're all on a money diet but we should not cut teachers or acedemics at all. Anything extra is fair game. I mean when we tighten our belts at home, what's the first thing to cut out of the budget...recreational activities. It's not that we quit our recreational activities, we just find other ways to have fun besides spending money! edited for typo error

I'm likin' the way you think!
