  1. Look for 4 GB RAM, 300+ GB hard drive, and decide whether you need a CD/DVD drive as the smaller notebooks either don't have one, or use an external drive only. The touch screens are neat to have but the look of the screen and the resolution is poor and gets lots of complaints. Also, look for free upgrades for Windows 7. (or wait until it comes out)
  2. I'd like to see the chain gang get out at all the intersections and pick up the discarded cigarette butts.
  3. I work in Alpharetta so it is about 50 miles each way. I leave around 6AM so it takes just over an hour in the morning and just over an hour in the afternoon around 3PM. I go into the office once or twice a week and the rest of the week I work from my home office.
  4. I don't believe he would have paid the family 20 MILLION DOLLARS if MJ had been innocent. Where's there's smoke, there's usually fire.
  5. On in America can a poor black boy grow up to be a rich white woman.
  6. Hmmm. 'Go rounds'. Never heard them called that. I've always heard them called a 'Round About' or a 'Traffic Circle' here in the states. But I agree they do solve some of the problems, except when you're behind someone sitting there 'waiting' their turn and they never go because people keep entering from the other side.
  7. Everyone has their own way with dealing with stress. When I'm driving and I find the opportunity to blow my horn, it is a great stress reliever.
  8. I would say I'm an excellent driver. I don't have a problem driving in any city. Since I travel a good bit for business I am usually in a city that I'm not familiar with. I find that challenging and an adventure driving in a strange city. One time, we were on vacation with my parents and to give them an experience that they probably wouldn't ever have again, I took them into downtown Manhattan. If you really don't know what kind of driver you really are, take this quiz. http://www.nationaldriverstest.com/nationa...st/ndt-test.php
  9. That's why chiropractors aren't free.
  10. The past 5 times we went there we've had problems getting our food. The server brought my wife's food out and then about 15 minutes later brought mine. There's no excuse for that. And then when mine came out it was incomplete. So that makes it sound like there's a problem in the kitchen as well. I just got tired of them offering to discount my meals due to the problem. I makes me feel that they might think the discount makes everything alright. I just wish they knew what to do to straighten up their crew. I know the owners mean well but perhaps that need a knowledgeable manager to wipe that pl
  11. Definitely don't go to a medical doctor. They are not allowed to manipulate your spine as that would be malpractice. Most people who get pinched nerves often ignore it until the pain becomes severe. What happens then is that the bone slips, pinches the nerve and causes the muscles to spasm. As long as the muscles are spasming the bone can't move back and the nerve remains pinched. (It's kind of like the monkey with his hand in the cookie jar. He can't get his hand out as long as he's hanging on to the cookie.) So you have to get a chiropractor to assist in realigning the bones and what that in
  12. I take every opportunity to let those idiots know what they did was not courteous or illegal by blowing my horn and raising my hands at them. I figure if enough people did that to these idiots that maybe, just maybe, they may think to themselves "Did I do something wrong back there?"
  13. In construction done in the last 15-20 years most studs should be on 16" center, interior and exterior. The only exception would be if the studs 2 x 6 but those are rare. In multi-story homes you might find the studs on 12" centers on the bottom floor. If you find your interior studs on 24" centers, please post the same of your subdivision. Even with free standing shelves you'll want to find a stud and secure the shelves to the wall with at least one angle bracket attached to the top shelf and then to the wall. Building free standing shelves can be done various ways. A lot d
  14. Been there too. I did an implementation in Sandpoint. Beautiful area. Reminded me of areas of Alaska.
  15. Which state is the prettiest? Well I've been to every state and I've found ALASKA to be the prettiest by far. The untouched beauty of the mountains and coastline can take your breath away.
  16. I don't if the plans have changed but the plans I was told about had the hospital and the imaging center very close to each other - I believe they might even be connected.
  17. I'm getting tired of the lady that cuts my hair trying to give me a "comb over" for my thinning bald spot. When I go outside and the wind blows I get ticked because I just had it cut to keep from worrying about it and I've got long hair on the top of my head blowing in the wind.
  18. Something different to consider doing with the kids is.. INDOOR SKYDIVING! I've seen a lot of young kids try it as well as adults. I was in there with kids that were 5 and up. It was something that I'm glad I did. Hardly any risk and LOTS of fun! It's located in pigeon Forge on the right going from Sevierville to Gatlinburg. I believe it's close to a drug store. Just look for the round building with the smoke stacks coming out the top! I know those diesel engines were churning up the black stop to get me up in the air.
  19. I don't know if a suggestion box would do anything, when you can tell the owners until you're blue in the face that they have problems that need to be corrected. I'm waiting until I don't hear any bad stuff happening there before I darken their doors again. There are too many other good places to eat than to risk getting disappointed - again.
  20. I SOOOOO wish the movie theater was back open in Dallas. Tickets were $4 each and you could get a special with a large drink and large popcorn for $4. $12 wasn't bad for a night out at the movies.
  21. I guess you heard Farrah Fawcett had died. When she got to heaven, St. Peter told her that she had a couple of rotten years and asked if there was anything they could do for her. She said "Well, if you just make the world a safer place for the children." St. Peter said "Consider it done!"
  22. I figured they changed the name so that AMERICANS would feel that they could go there, since having the name in spanish didn't attract enough illegals and those who understood what their sign meant. Maybe they would attract even more customers if they changed the name to 'El gringos grasa perezosos loco'
  23. That would be "Hahira" - a small town just off I-75 between Adel and Valdosta. Ray Stevens used that town's name in a song and made it famous.
  24. Besides, we won't need trauma centers under government healthcare. They won't pay for it. Plus, they'll be rationing healthcare for anyone over 50 anyway - according to Tom Daschle.
  25. When the government starts providing health care many employers will drop their coverage for their employees and force them into the government plans. When everyone starts depending on the government for their health care, the government will have you right where they want you. Name one department that the government runs more efficiently than the private sector does. You can't, because it hasn't and will never happen.
