  2. I don't know if any would do this, but what about a church social hall?
  3. We are staying at home a cooking out. We're gonna cook boston butts and shred them for BBQ. Also having baked beans, potato salad, sesame pasta and I don't know what else yet. We just decided to do something last Sunday, so it's still up in the air as to what else we are doing.

  8. First I'm glad you and your daughter are okay. Now maybe this would be a question for the police officers on here, but with the description of the car and the first part of the tag number, can the police check to see if a car matching that description has been reported stolen? That might be a start and it won't find the guy who hit you but it might be a starting point. Also, could you tell the approximate age of the guy driving? If he was a teen or an older guy 20-30's maybe someone on here has a kid that knows who drives this car.
  9. That is nuts. In the article someone stated that we would have a bigger problem once the transmitters fail, but don't you think these snakes will look for warm places to survive ie: a warm(er) garage, vehicle engine, sheds and anywhere where they can find enough warmth and food to survive, tracking transmitters or not. Are these scientists really prepared to search great distances for these reptiles or give up and assume the snake is dead or the transmitter quit working? That is IF they can survive in very cold weather, but their offspring, provided they breed, may in time adapt given enough g
  10. Yeah we aren't Trekkies but grew up watching on TV and watching the movies.
  11. I know a family that this happened to 4 times! That is outrageous. They are working with a Realtor now to try and buy a home.
  12. My DS went to see the midnight showing and said it was really good. We are going to see it tomorrow afternoon when they get home from work. I don't know if DS is going but I'm sure he'll put on his sad face and beg to go again. My whole family loved the first one. We saw Star Trek last Saturday and it was very good as well. My DD did not want to see it, but about 30 minutes in she leaned over and said she was gald she came and that was liked it.
  13. NC you are so right. I had my son a week after my 18th birthday and I have NEVER and NEVER will consider having him "a life of misery". I was young and didn't plan him but he or my daughter for that matter have never made mine or my husband "miserable". I really hope HHS meant the wife/girlfriend and not the child.

I sent out an email to everyone I know that would like to show their respects to this brave young man and his family. I hope they come Tuesday. RIP Ryan King. You have made this community very proud and honored.
  25. Yep I agree with DreamGirl, you offer a service that many others can not do for themselves, for whatever reason. You clearly enjoy your profession. Many people would pay good money just to be able to say they love their job. Congratulations on the new toy!!
