  1. Camochick what sale are you doing? If it's the My kidz Closet one, she has the program on her website all you do is input your info.
  2. Wow. I'm shocked that the grandparents even put up with that sort of behavior. My grandmother would have gotten her switch after me.
  3. I saw her inside Walmart yesterday around 3 o'clock I think it was. Anyway, I too thought that she didn't look that well, she's gotten quite thin from what I could tell. She was sitting on one of the benches near the the hair salon.
  4. I think there was a topic not too long ago about this and someone mentioned using Borax in the yard and carpet, but NOT on your pets. Put it down in the carpet, leave it for a bit and vacuum. Just put the cats away while it's down until after you vaccum. As far as putting anything on your cats, I have always had good luck with Frontline Plus, but that does come from the vet or you can get it online from some of the pet websites. Flea collars really don't work and are a waste of $. Oh and the beauty of Frontline Plus, as your cats shed the falls into the carpet it will continue to kill fleas
  5. Maybe you could find it at Harry's in Marietta. They have a huge variety of things from everywhere.
  6. Actually, it was very good. It tasted like beef. It didn't even have a hint of gamey taste to it either. Now, if I had to go out and buy it and pay a premium price for it, I would settle for beef. However, the advantage of water buffalo is that it is VERY lean compared to beef. In that respect I wonder if it is lower in cholesterol. Hmmmm something to look into. But then I think Bison meat is leaner than beef. I looooooove Jim N Nick's. Their kitchen sink nachos are to die for.
  7. Turkey seems like the specialty of the day. We love Thanksgiving dinner meals. Now y'all have gone and flung a craving on me, I maight have to make that for dinner next Sunday.
  8. I thought I would start one, since we are having Water Buffalo. I am making it in the crock pot sort of like beef stew, but I am going to serve it over egg noodles and separate the potatoes and carrots to have on the side. Has anyone ever tried water buffalo and if so , how similar is it to regular beef or bison? Does it have a gamey taste? My DH got some meat from a friend and that's why we are eating it. I also have some ground meat but I guess I will just make some regular ole hamburgers out of that another night.
  9. I made homemade strawberry jam tonight.
  10. Congratulations to your son. I have never been to an MMA fight. My DH, DD and DS are all involved in Tae Kwon Do and those are some fun tournaments.
  11. I remember David. I lived in Savannah and I was 6 yo. Strangely enough I wasn't too scared except when the roof would catch fire. It was caused by the power lines hitting each other and the roof, but all turned out okay. We had a HUGE Live Oak that was completely uprooted and the yard was flooded and filled with debris.
  12. You are right, they really are not necessary unless the kid is in a photo class. It just sounds to me like the teacher wants a new camera. But then again, I remember teachers asking for rolls of film to be donated. This was back when my DS was in elementary school, he starts college this fall, so that was a while ago. Most of the time in my experience the pictures were simply for taking group shots or individual shots for Christmas gifts or Mother's Day etc, so I can't imagine why the teacher would want one for an 8th grade class. Unless they are learning about photography. IDK
  13. I agree with you completely that some of these lists are over the top. As far as the digital camera goes, why can't some of the kids just bring in their own. I know not all of the kids have them, but then why do the parents have to provide that teacher who wished for it. I'm floored. It does stink that the county does not or an not provide many of these supplies, but sometimes, from my own experience, we have been asked for things and they were never used. GT you and anyone else who is kind hearted enough to provide for someone else's children, you all get a from me. Hey Pubby h
  14. My DH changes the TP roll, but what bugs me the most is that when he takes a shower he leaves his dirty clothes in the floor right beside the hamper. What's up with that? I've asked him and he just says it's no big deal. Ughhhh. Now having said that, he works all day and I am a stay at home mom, so I guess it really isn't a big deal, but it sure does bug me. Especially since all he has to do is open the hamper and toss 'em in.
  15. Wow that's a lot!! My DD's school only asked for the basics in school supplies and her teacher only had a short list of donations for the classroom. She asked for zip top baggies, sanitizer and tissues. However, even though the teachers rarely ask, I will send in dry erase markers, extra paper and whatever else as my DD let's me know when her teacher or class needs something and I do this throughout the school year. It makes it easier on the wallet when I can do it that way.
  16. I am sorry to hear about this kind of news. Please know I will make sure to keep your children, as well as you in my thoughts and prayers.
  17. It is offered at different locations, but you pick the one nearest you.
  18. Congratulations GLW!! How far along are you?
  19. Yes that is what was going on. I just got home from Walmart and as I was turning out onto 278 toward 92 I saw the blue lights and a car run the red light in front of WM and Chick-Fil-A. The driver wasn't going too fast but was running red lights. He/she then turned right on the road between Kroger and Ryans. There were probably 7 or 8 PCSO's following the car. Dark colored older(90's something) Mercury Sable, that's what it looked like anyway. I hope they stopped them and hauled them off to jail. That is just crazy to run from the police and put others in danger.

    H.R. FLIGHT

That is a very touching story, it made me cry. Thanks for sharing.
  21. Wow, I read her info really quick, but I didn't catch her age. She does look great for 80 even with plastic surgery.
  22. About 6 months ago I was in Rack Room with my DD when this Mom walked in with her daughter. This girl was about 9 or 10,give or take, and dressed like that. I still remember, she was wearing a hot pink top with a black skirt so short she could not bend over even a little without showing her bottom, this is NOT an exaggeration, it may as well have been a band aid. Add to that she had on a pair of black knee high boots. She looked ridiculous and I guess this mother thought it was okay. I still believe the mother had other motives for dressing her kid that way, however. But of course I don't know
  23. Just looked up some info on Jeanne Cooper, Katherine on Y&R, on Wiki. It stated at the end of the information bit that she would make a guest appearance on the FINAL episode of Guiding Light. Did anyone know that GL was going of the air? I haven't watched that show in years, but I didn't expect it to end either. Just wondered and it surprised me.
  24. That is wonderful news. I'm glad he has been found and I hope he is okay.
