Mark, never apologize for being yourself. It plants a seed of doubt and can cause one to move backward rather than continuing to move forward in a positive light. Life is not a game, it's a journey and we all are given opportunities to learn from others, some grab the chance while the others balk and stand still never learning the lesson. I have never met you, but from what I see of you on this board, you are a true friend indeed. Keep moving forward.

She tried to pull her scam on me a few months ago in the Hiram WM parking lot. I was walking toward the store when she approached me and asked if I would help her to her car. She said she was so hungry but didn't have any money and that she also has bone cancer. The lady was driving a blue Jeep Liberty and claimed it belonged to a friend. Something didn't feel right, but I helped her to her car anyway. That's when I noticed the plastic bag in her hand full of silk flowers.I kept my eye on my purse since I was so close to her, she had me hold her arm to help her walk. Anyway, she said a couple

So I was involved in a 4 wheeler accident.

Back in 1985 my dad bought me a three wheeler, I was 13 yo. I had the best time on that thing, but I was only allowed to ride it in the yard, we had a very large yard with plenty of acreage. Now with that said, that thing was very dangerous and although I never had any kind of accident on it, my nephew did, he was 11 yo. He backed up onto a big pile of dirt my dad had delivered, Nate was not hurt but it made my dad think about helmets, only for a minute. The most unfortunate thing is that in '88 while I was away living in another state, my dad and my brother took it out with some friends for a -

Direct TV Pulls "That's The Truth, Truth" Ad

I don't see anything racist about it, I mean if it was really racist then why would a black man and other black people have made the commercial? It's definitely a stupid commercial, but that could be intentional to get people talking, sort of like the Russian guy with the tiny giraffe. My family thought that one was funny. -
Thanks, I thought it was probably a rat snake from the shape of the head or at least non-venomous.
-
I want to know what happened to the snake too. I don't care for snakes, but I don't want to hurt one if I don't have to. They said in the video that it's a water moccasin, does anyone know if that's really what it was?

Thanks for the info, I'm going to bookmark that link. We have issues multiple times a year and I'll definitely use the form to file complaints. -

I have issues with the Hiram PO. I share the same house number with another person in my S/D, but on different streets. She and I finally got them to put a duplicate address sticker in our mailboxes. I have had other issues with them such as leaving mail ON my driveway, not in the box or at the door, but ON the driveway. In 2009 when my DS's senior pictures were delivered, I happened to see the mail carrier pull in my driveway and then leave. I was in the process of putting on my shoes to go out to get the delivery, when she pulled out and left. She had left his senior pics on my truck box in -
I heard it rained like cats ans dogs on Ridge Rd near Austin MS, but we haven't had a drop on my end of Ridge Rd near Poole Bridge Rd. Crossing my fingers it makes its way down here.

We were in Savannah over the weekend and we filled up twice at the Sams Club in Pooler at $3.56 per gal.I did notice other stations were higher, ranging from 3.60 to 3.65, but still cheaper than fuel here.

We will be in Daytona that week visiting family, doing other stuff and taking advantage of the off season prices. We have never done anything during those breaks, but when I checked out the hotel prices and saw that they were about half the price, we decided to postpone our planned vacay.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Pinkcricket.

I'm in Savannah right now and it's 97 degrees and feels like 100 at 7pm. I dread what tomorrow is going to be. DH and DD have plans to go to Tybee, but I'll just go visit family or something, I'm not hanging out in the heat.

Once the order is delivered to the customer, I can see how it would be the mistake of the server. But, who pays when the order is wrong and the server catches the mistake before it leaves the kitchen? It's still a waste of food, does the cook pay? Honestly, here lately we have gone out to eat a lot and several times one of our orders has been wrong. Sometimes we say something, sometimes we don't, it just depends on whether it's something we are okay with eating. If we order fish and get chicken, we'll say something, but if it's trivial like ordering a bacon cheeseburger and we only get a chees

I am so glad that your building was not involved nor DS's teachers building, but I feel so badly for those whose homes were burned. Today's storms were very ugly.
-
WAFL. I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. I hope everyone involved is okay. My son just called and said his 098 reading class at Chattahoochee Tech was cancelled. Apparently his instructor lives in those apartments and was unable to get out of the complex to have class. DS said his teacher's home was NOT involved.

DD and I were at the New Ga Publix when the bottom fell out. We had to wait for it to clear up some, which was very little. Coming home down Ridge Rd, it started to hail, it was tiny though, and it was very hard to see through the heavy rain. Either way, I welcome the rain.

We went to the Ole Hickory House in Tucker. It was the first time I had been there and oh it was soooo good.
