We were in Florida, came back today and on the way home we saw several from Paulding. We have never been to Myrtle Beach, so it wasn't us and we surely would have waved back to ya!!

I thought about Subby and he is right up the road, but I figured he is probably busy right now with his new music stuff he's got going on. Nick is good, but not good enough for that level of music, not yet anyway. But then I don't have the ear for music, DS does and has learned to play mostly by ear. My son asked if I would post on here to see if anyone would be willing to just have a jam session with him. He and the band he was with broke up a few months ago and he is crawling the walls looking for someone who would like to jam with him. I use on;y Jasmine, but I will have to try Basmati. The Jasmine has a floral fragrance while it's cooking, so nice. As far as couscous and risotto, I have never had either. Those recipes look good and I might just have to give it a try.

Thank you for the response, Surepip. I will make sure to buy local, at least Georgia, as often as I can. I agree with you about the Target birds, much too expensive. After all of the posts you have made about poultry, I have learned that those who advertise anti-biotic free and so on are just marketing gimmicks and I would just be over paying for those birds when I can get the same from other brands. So with this information I will just buy what's on sale and/or get local poultry as often as possible even it costs a bit more.

Surepip, since you are well educated about the poultry business can you say what are the better brands to buy in the stores? I don't watch those one sided documentaries as they are always skewed and I'm sure that there are some "bad seed" farmers and poultry growers in the world. So I would like to know what to buy in the store so that I can make sure to support those who breed and produce quality birds for my family's consumption. Whe I shop now I usually buy what is on sale, Tyson, Claxton or the unbranded store brand from somewhere like Walmart. I rarely buy Perdue as they are so very yello

I used to flash to warn others of a police officer ahead. Now that I am older I won't do it anymore, if they are speeding they need to be cited period.
