Surepip, I doubt my oyster stew will meet your expectations, but here goes. I bought the oysters at Publix, Willapoint brand and fortunately they were quite small to medium sized. Select oysters are just too big for my taste. I just melt one stick of butter in a dutch oven, drop in the oysters and cook until they are shriveled and wrinkly. I then add about 2/3 's of a gallon whole milk and cook it on low for about 45 minutes. Salt and pepper. That's how I grew up eating it. Some people put diced potatoes and/or onions in it, but I prefer simple. The best oysters I have had came from Matthews

I refer to my husband as "hubby" only on here or FB. At home he's Ronnie or Honey or Babe. Sometimes when he's ignoring me and focused on the TV I will call him by his last name.

Prayers for your Daddy and that he will get what he needs. I'm also sending prayers to you and your family. Hang in there and trust in your faith and beliefs.

Thanks. Your recipe sounds fantastic although a bit pricey with using rib eye, but if it's good then it's worth it. I used to work in the meat department of a Kroger in Marietta and when the weather turned cool we would grind chili meat which is just a thicker grind compared to hamburger style. We had a guy who would come in and request filet mignon for chili meat. He would have us cut it in bite size pieces. He said it was good, but filet? That's some $$$$$ meat. Funny story, when I worked in the meat dept, I worked with a guy who used to go to chili cook offs and he told us about this ma

Chocomare, when you say coarse ground, do mean meat put through a chili die on the grinder or coarse ground as in once through the grinder instead of two to three times like most ground meat?

What do you think about timeshares?
raclay replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Do your homework, most timeshare companies work on a point system now rather than a deeded program. If you are not happy with what you get, it is VERY hard to sell a timeshare right now. I used to work for a marketing company that sold timeshare and this is some of what I learned. Now with that said, my sister owns two, one deed and one points, she is very happy with it but her husband stays on top of it all the time. That way they don't get scammed and that does happen alot. -
Exactly. It's not a competition and everyone learns differently and at a different pace.

Depending on where you are taking your kiddo, they may have equipment he can borrow during class. This way you won't need to buy the gear and find out in few months your kiddo doesn't like Martial Arts. Tuition is expensive as are the belt fees, they typically go up in price the further up in belts a student gets. Both my husband and daughter are black belts and it has not been cheap, but the benefits they have received from it all is very rewarding. It also helps that we all really adore our Grandmaster. He is very patient but can be quite stern when need be and he is extremely knowledgeable

My husband will come home and do some paper work or read drawings. He will place his orders sometimes from home, but he never charges for that. The reason he doesn't is that he is provided a company vehicle and he sees that as compensation for doing a small amount of work at home. The work from home is usually no more than a couple hours a week.

Left side holding a pillow with the covers partially over my head. If the weather is warm, then I sleep with one foot out from under the covers.

We had a Chow Chow that had them on both ears. One ear developed it and we had it "quilted" and six months later the other ear did it and we had it "quilted " too. It caused his ears to tip over but that was okay, it made him look cute. The vet told us at the time that the ear would most likely fill up again and the surgery would eliminate the possibility of it happening again. It worked.

I noticed this website states the list is SIX pages long! That is awesome that these restaurants are doing this for our Veterans.

If you have a second refrigerator, seal up some of it and store it. I know it will take up a lot of space, but it's better than letting it go stale or letting the dogs eat too much of it.

I believe the pawn shop in Hiram buys gold.

So I can have them on half an acre in a subdivision as long as it's not governed by an HOA? We have been wanting some hens to get our own eggs. Someone else in the SD has chickens and a rooster and all seems to be okay with them. So what do you think? Oh we do not have an HOA. We had covenants, but when the builder left so did anyone over seeing those rules, this was in 2000 when he left.

LR, I am so sorry this has happened. I just don't know what to say other than it's impossible for me to understand how a person can do something so selfish.

Why you don't call the cops, especially if you find drugs or stolen property
raclay replied to BH87's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Wow, that is crazy. Were they arrested simply because they own the property? Kind of like someone finding drugs in your car that really don't belong to you. But at the same time, you know the kind of people you hang around with and still allow them in/on your personal property. I would like to see how this one plays out. Sounds like the cops really are arrest happy. -
A majority of the houses in our S/D don't give out any candy at all. When we first moved here the S/D was new and everyone and their brother came, we loved it. Most people don't mind.

Why did you have to remove them?

Papi, not all Unions work that way. DH is a Union worker and FAR from lazy, and we are Republicans. In fact, most union workers we know are on the right side of things.

Oh my gawd, that man is divine!!

This is the first year that we have not bought a pumpkin. I just kept forgetting to get one. I do have candy even though we have very few trick or treater's.

Not sure, I only posted what my DS told me. I mentioned the sprinklers they have over there for the fields and he just said "oh yeah". Hoping it's only the fields.
