  1. Everytime we deal with a bad renter - I have wondered how their children will grow up. What kind of impression does it give a child when the parents move out in the middle of the night, trash the place (leaving dirty diapers behind every door AND this particular tenant stood on the top of the steps screaming at me while the children looked out the screen door at us wondering what was going on), or make the child open the door to tell us that mom and dad are sleeping right now??? We've had a handful of good renters, but once I am rid of my last rental ---- NEVER, NEVER EVER AGAIN!
  2. Have them check the lease - depending on what it says should give them an idea of how long they really have. If they don't find anything in the lease - he has to file a paperwork to formally evict them. If they don't contest - they have seven days after they are served. If he asks for money and they answer the complaint - then usually they have 30. How you file varies county to county, but in order for it to be legal - he does have to file (unless the lease says something that a judge would think overrides that)
  3. Moved well - I didn't even get any red lights to stop at!
  4. I'm waiting to get a picture of them in their Christmas hats - I also like it when they wear their Easter Bonnets (spring straw hats!)
  5. Now you did it ... Just watch!....he'll have to have the LAST WORD and make another comment to you and then he'll run to Pubby and ask him to close this thread after he makes whatever rude statement he wants - he'll use the excuse that he started the thread and that its gone OT.....wait and see!
  6. If one of your sensitive skin ladies don't work out - I'm willing to be a guinea pig!
  7. Ya know....I thought the same thing.....
  8. Also known as.... "Lost-Lite" I've seen it a few times...little hokey, but kind of fun to watch.
  9. I will be there, but in the afternoon --- they have some great deals this week!
  10. Yes, I passed this one too --- somewhat minor fender bender it appeared --- everyone was out of their vehicles and talking on their cell phones.
  11. I detoured on Lindsey lake, but there were a bunch of people standing on both sides of the road and I saw a woman run across the road with her hands on her head (like she was distressed), but couldn't tell what had happened.
  12. Get some baking soda and make a paste out of it with water. It will get kind of messy as it dries, but it will ease the stinging.
  13. Soy sauce! Friend swears by it! But....sounds like you may have a pretty serious burn there --- hopefully the doctor can give you something that will not only relieve the pain, but help the burn heal!
  14. Better than that song Lollipop....Lollipop...from that dreadful Dell commercial!
  15. Still thinking here....Maybe if they get enough good comments - the Mayberry would turn GOLD to recognize that they have a high level of customer service.
  16. What if over to the left where it says what kind of member you are --- you put Sheriff Badges (Mayberrys/Stars) when a person joins as a CM. Then if they get five good comments of ("they went above and beyond the level of service") or three/six months with no bad comments - they get another Mayberry and so on...maybe up to five Mayberrys.... After that --- if you get no complaints in a 12 month period - you get another Mayberry for each year that you're a member. If you get a complaint - maybe a corner of your Badge/Star disappears and if you get another complaint you would lose another corner
  17. I'm still trying to figure out what the story was BEFORE they start showing the Hillary clip...looks like two men showing their bellies or something?????
  18. Eureka....don't forget Eureka!!!!!!
  19. It's on our "must see" tv list. We also like Monk and Psych. Burn Notice too...of course....but it just had its season finale until winter....
  20. I was late to the party too....but I have already bought the second one since I have about a chapter to go on the first one. I'm kind of the opposite...instead of reading quickly...if I really enjoy a series...I read slow...so I can "live" with the characters for as long as possible.... I also watched the movie the other night (Directv has it on "last chance" for $2.99) and liked it --- though I think I like the book better...I think the sequel will be excellent....the first movie...had to set up a bunch of introductions and it seemed a bit too slow for me. I also didn't think they captur
  21. It's easier if HE walks out and she can't find him. She files --- they post in the newspaper of the last known county/parish/whereever that HE lived and if he doesn't respond in a period of time --- it goes through uncontested. The divorce (in GA anyway) has to be filed in whatever county he lives in or lived in at the time.
  22. Yes, you've got that right! It IS hard to help stupid people understand things. Glad you've come to see that in yourself!!! I'm proud of you!!! There may be some hope for you yet!!! Unfortunately... I doubt it though since you're the one thinking on a kindergarten level, not to mention your prejudice against people that don't meet your ideal standards and you really just haven't got a clue.
  23. And suddenly as I read over your misinformed and prejudice statements in stating that fat people want to be that way and being overweight is not a disease.......an old saying comes to mind that I should have reminded myself of earlier.... “Never argue with an idiot. They’ll drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.”
  24. Maybe we should just outlaw twinkies....course then....If they pulled you over....what happens if you have twinkie breath or a twinkie stash in the trunk of your car? Would they get you for Twinkie Intoxication???
