  1. I would use it. I come all the way down Nebo and I could turn on BCP and cut off going 92 into Hiram and getting stuck at the rr tracks. I would use it on the way home also, it would keep me from backing up with all the other traffic in downtown Hiram near the water tower! Oh and the only place Brownsville intersects 278 is in Powder Springs
  2. we just say the green book. But some folks do call it ASH-TOE
  3. First off...the COUNTY does have the say-so on what a road can be posted. You can have a design speed of 55 done....but it only be posted at 45. If it's a state hghway....nope the county don't have a say-so.. There is something that we use to design by. It's called AASHTO. They put out someone we call "The Green Book" It's a policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets. EVERY DOT and contractor designing highways use this. Hiram-Sudie, Ridge Road, Nebo Road are all County roads. 278, Hwy 61 and SR 92 are State Roads. Most "County Roads" will never be higher than 50! Prime examp
  4. jsbeagle I do the same type of work you do...and I'm laughing at some of these comments. Winchester is wayyyy wrong. The speed limit will remain the same. Perfect example is E/W Connector.....it's 45 with a divided median. Limited access.
  5. close on Sunday's and Mondays.............but stay open later than 6. No way can I drive from the ATL and get there in time.
  6. Do you know what you want to take? What kind of classes do you want to take online? (math, english, psych) Do you qualify for HOPE? I'm in school right now for criminal justice. Some of the classes are online but most are at a campus. Don't quote me on this...but I don't think HOPE will pay for some of the 'online' colleges...you may want to check on that...because I have been known to be wrong...
  7. I like propertyroom.com and FB...and some others.......
  8. May 15 Downtown Dallas ***Yard Sale / Crafts and other vendors. 8am-3pm ? I think that time is correct.
  9. Ok..I'm on Hwy 61 and about 6-8 PCSO just went flying down 61 toward Ridge Road. At first it was 2-3 and they didn't stop and turn on Nebo...but looked like they was headed toward Ridge. Then 2-3 more come screaming down Hwy 61 about 5 minutes after the others. Anyone know what's happening out here? I have the scanner online on...but nuttin
  10. English only. Next thing they will be doing is having roadway drawings and designs done in English and Spanish....so all the Spanish contractors can read my plans.... Just drive through a roadway construction site.... not just the folks holding the slow and yield sign..... Riograce...... have you ever seen a Yellow Yield sign?
  11. If this happened in Paulding...I'd be on the phone with Sam Clark in a heartbeat!
  12. Yard bird for us....and whateva else... Oh...MrsB... can I have some of that each cobbler

  14. I was headed to class... I left work at 4:30 and didn't get to CTC until right at 6!! I really wish I would have gotten a Nixle about that. I could have avoided that crap.
  15. That is Awesome!!! I know you're one proud parent. You adding the 'rest of the story' made the article!!
  16. when do we need to signup/buy?
  17. He was on the corner of Powder Springs Road and E/W connector at that RaceTrac or QT whatever it is.... just last week. I saw him.
  18. depends on what type of easement it is. The utility company usually only buys perm. easement. The property owner still ownes the poperty and pays taxes on it but the utility company can have acecess to it to maintain the utility or the easement. Now..if it was a buffer....that's a different story. So the people who live behind you and cut those tree's could actually own the property. They can put or take stuff off the easement. If they put something there and the utility company don't want it there...they can remove whatever it is
  19. The only place I buy my tires is at Discount Tires. I even buy the warranty. I've used the warranty 3 times on 3 different tires. I've only paid $18 for each tire under the warranty. I have several friends that have tire stores...one on Austell Rd. and the other in Fairburn...and I still buy mine there because of the customer service!
  20. When you apply.....please know that 30,000 + people apply at LHM every month.
  21. Why are you not using your degree in Criminal Justice? The reason I'm asking is because I start back this spring to get my degree in Criminal Justice. I'm looking to go into the field of identity theft or possibly juvenile probation.
