I've been looking into some business adventures. I'm trying to become more crafty. I can make hair bows and some other type stuff...and I have. I don't actively market them on here...or in many places. Most people see them and I get referrals. I already have a F/T job but I'm wanting to start something up just in case something happens here. I can feel ya. We've had lots of layoffs in the engineering world. I'm going to start a spin-off topic about my new adventure... just incase something happens here...so I need some honest opinions also. About your new possible adventure... I say why not go ahead and run with it. What is it going to hurt. You could always take some classes. Green is the way to go now. So if you could do it in a 'green' way...that would be cool. Even if you could do like a 'design on a dime' type wedding/events.

You are right that nobody is perfect. But, 4 firemen sat in a truck and didn't even ring the doorbell on a 911 call that the homeowner reported smoke and fire. This lady lost her life due to the neglect of 4 people who are PAID and on duty. Any FF on this board will tell you what they did was WRONG. They are not paid to do drive-by firemen.

Mrs G has the story right. The homeowner made the 1st call at 1:30am because her oxygen had caught fire. These firemen didn't even get out of the freakin truck! there was 4 in the truck and NONE got out to go ring the doorbell, beat on the door......NOTHING. They just didn't 'see' anything and drove off. They got the call from dispatch that a 911 emergency was at that place of residency for SMOKE and possibly a fire! Nobody else made a call until hours later and it was the people who lived behind her that call about the house being fully engulfed in flames. They didn't even know the addre
