A beard works very well if you're a professional Santa!

Chicken Cheese Ball 1 12 oz. can chicken (drained) 1 8 oz. cream cheese (at room temp) 1 big heaping tablespoon sour cream 1/2 packet of ranch flavor Hidden Valley "Dips" Mix together well. You can shape into a ball and roll in nuts, or just heap it onto a plate (without nuts) and serve with original or ranch flavor wheat thins.

The wait times can be pretty long - yesterday was very, very busy. Probably won't be as busy today, but with school out, it could be. Christmas Eve will be another very busy day! Some people have one person wait in line and make a cell call when they are the next person in line, so someone can stay with the babies in the car (or a store). Older kids can play on the playground (train) while waiting (it's right by the Santa House). Santa hopes to see you there!

Yep. He should have won! Bunch of sore losers. All Natalie did was ride on Russell's coattails!

When I was little, Santa always came to our house on Christmas Eve, right after dark! Hey, he had to start somewhere! My cousins would come to our house and we'd have dessert and when they went home (next door), someone would come and tell us Santa had been there! So we would run to see what they got, and when we came home, Santa had been to our house, too! We were so lucky that Santa came to our houses first! My hubby, Santa, has requests from time to time to come early (up to a week) because the family is going to be out of town on Christmas day.

Santa will be on the Square in Marietta, today until 5:00, but the line will cut off no later than 4:00. He'll be there Mon, Tues, Wed, 10:00 to 6:00, and Christmas Eve until 2:00. Lines cut off at least an hour before ending time. You can get a photo in an 'ornament' for $10, in a paper frame for $8.00 (I think!) You don't have to buy anything, kids can see Santa for free, and you can take your own pictures! This is why Santa loves visiting at the Marietta Square! It's for the kids!! Oh, and thanks, LGM!

What's the deal with the Restaurant with the long lines
Mrs. C replied to brown*eyed*girl's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Sometimes it's lined up inside, too! No parking places outside, line inside. But worth the wait! -
I think I read that $200 is in addition to the county/city fine they give you first. The state gets the extra $200.

Thank you Dallas Theater and Civic Center for this game. Looking forward to the festival and to the next trivia game!

We'd have a really magical day if we received a mayberry from Rafe!

Sleep tight came from the days of rope beds, where you tightened the ropes as the bed began to sag (before days of box springs). The mattress rested on the ropes, and as the ropes loosened the bed would sag. The rest of the saying, "don't let the bedbugs bite" meant bugs would climb up the wooden bed legs, so you put something (maybe bleach, lye, etc) into a little pan and set the legs of the bed in it so the bugs would be killed before they got to bite you. Thus, came the invention of the iron beds which the bugs were not attracted to. Now, aren't you all itchy and wish you hadn't

Since I'm married to the 'big guy', I'm always especially nice. Not to mention, I keep the Naughty & Nice List for Santa... just sayin'...

I think it was put on the back burner until the washed out roads and bridges were done.

I think there's a shop in Old Town Hiram.

What thread would that have been in? It's not in the original thread (now on page 5). I was looking for it.

Is that the area that was damaged during the 'floods'?
