My doctor says he's never seen a Vitamin D count as low as mine. Why don't I have rickets or something? I do take Vitamin D now. On the TV show, The Doctors, they said if you go outside in the sun with your arms exposed (short sleeves)for 10 minutes a day, you will get all the vitamin D you need.

Way to go, Granny!! I always told my children to give me their trash, gum wrappers, etc. and I'd put them in my purse til we got home. When we're in the car with them now, they still hand me their wrappers and my youngest is 36! I just smile and say "Thanks". Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.

We had them once. They were even in an unopened glass jar of popcorn. We had to throw away everything in the pantry, cereals, flour, meal, rice, cake mixes, nuts, etc. Basically, everything not in a sealed can. Our exterminator sprayed something in there and we could not use the pantry for 3 weeks. Haven't had them since, but I'm more careful now about leaving stuff in there for very long. And now I'm all itchy..

Some movies are never released, but you have to pay tax on any earnings.

For those who think Medicare is free, think again. When hubby retired in 2002, our insurance was $85 per month, $1020 for that year. This year we will be paying $12,000 for the year. That's for Medicare and supplement policy for meds.

When my daughter was a flight attendant, there had been a cancellation so there was a line of passengers trying to get another flight. Some man came bounding up to the ticket agent, demanding that he be seen right now! The agent asked him to get back in line and he shouted, "Do you know who I am?" Without missing a beat, the ticket agent picked up the intercom and announced for the whole airport to hear, "Ladies and Gentlemen, we have someone here that doesn't know who he is. Can anyone identify this man?"

My son and DIL live off Mt. Olivet in the Willow Springs area. They have no water. They came here for showers. When they called the water company, they were told there was a major break somewhere and were looking for the break.

We took one of the walking ghost tours, by the old cemeteries (gates were locked at night). We could see a light in the cemetery and the next day decided to check out the old cemetery to see where the light could have been. We couldn't find any source for the light as there were no buildings, large trees, etc. in the location. Was mostly a cheesy tour though, narrated by someone not from the area (she said she had to memorize the stories and take other guides on the tour before she could do it on her own). We loved Bonaventure Cemetery. Need to go back!

How about purses made of candy printed fabrics. You could have chocolate purses, candy cane purses, etc.

There is a parking garage just across the street from the ship's dock. We were on a Sat-Thurs cruise and left our car there. Fee was $70 if you parked yourself or $85 for valet parking.

Reminds me of a poem by Shel Silverstein "Clarence" who wanted to change parents. I read it to a group of 3rd graders and asked how many wanted to get rid of their parents - two raised their hands!

Oh, no. We weren't mad about the ship staying with the fishing vessel. Everyone was just happy that the crew was OK and the vessel was able to be towed to shore. Some people did have excursions canceled because there was not enough time once we finally arrived in the Caymans, but I heard no complaints from anyone. When Carnival announced that everyone on board the fishing boat was fine there was great applause on board.

We just returned from a cruise out of Tampa on the Carnival Inspiration. Ports were Grand Cayman and Cozumel. We didn't do a planned excursion in the Caymans, just walked around the town since we only had a short time there, shortened even more due to a fishing vessel giving a distress call (lost hydraulics, power, ran out of gas) on our way. The Inspiration stayed along side the fishing vessel for a couple of hours until the Coast Guard got there. We did tour the real ruins at Tulum in Mexico. It was a long trip (7 hours), but we had a great guide and he kept us informed and had an endle

After finding a clean, loose $10 bill in the laundry, my rule became "all clean money belongs to me." Everyone started emptying out their own pockets before putting them in the laundry.

I know this has been discussed before, but who did you use? We've done everything we know to do including digging down past the footings and replacing the drain line that was installed when we built our house, and adding a concrete pad with drain in the leak area. And, it still leaks! Any suggestions or recommendations? Think we need an expert!

My hairdresser used to save hair for me to keep the deer from eating my plants. Will hair really work on coyotes??????

We had a coyote visit last night. I had the flood lights on and saw him on the prowl.

We've had them done. Worth the time and money. A friend of ours had them done a few years ago and they discovered that his carotid arteries were severely impaired (80-90 percent clogged), which resulted in him having life-saving surgeries. He had had no symptoms of anything, but once the surgeries were done, he realized just how lucky he had been. A stroke could have happened at any time, and his regular doctor had confirmed that without those tests, he could have had a much different outcome.

Well, that narrows it down!

By all means, keep talking. You've got to get your posting numbers up.
