yes they have hired people. you have to be persistent. we have a friend who started today working for them and has been unemployed for 8 months now. they have to train employees at other stores that are already open before they send them to the new store. if you put in an app and call and wait, you may not stand out. remember there are so many people out of work who are applying, so keep calling...persistence pays off.

Today is the last day that Amazing Variety will be open. When they close this evening, they will be closed for good. I believe they are open until 6 pm today. They do not have a computer there so I told Melinda I would post this for her so that everyone had the last opportunity to take advantage of the deals they have...on top of their already low prices, EVERYTHING IN THE STORE IS 50% OFF!!! I keep wanting to drop in and say hello but have been busy. We found once summer hit our weekdays spiked, Saturday went up a little and Sunday dropped off. Most of the time we are here anyway filling online and wholesale orders but it is nice to have the option of taking the day off. Bruce

Charles and Melinda are both very good friends of my parents and I have known them for years, as well as their kids and the whole family. My heart goes out to them all. I am closer to Charles and Melinda as they were the first people in New GA Church that my parents became close to when my Dad became the minister there in 1980....John and Norma Meadows. They came to my grandparent's funerals in Columbus and continue to be close friends. My prayers are with Jay's wife and children, as well as the entire Bice family.

Thanks Juleebella...chances are your surgery will go just fine. I have serious problems with my feet and ankles and have had 4 separate opinions on them and for now, I'm in pain management. That is about the best relief I can get. Yes, our business is thriving! I love having the shop, but it was great to have the basement to get started in and have a good customer base before we moved into the Shop...I wish I had an in ground pool to lay in myself!!! But I sure do enjoy my friend's pool!!! :lol: Scarlet

I have those too on top of my plantar fibromatosis on both feet. They won't touch them though because they are afraid that it will not heal well because the previous surgeries did not. I could not walk or put any pressure on the foot for 4 weeks...not even in a cast. AFter that I wore the air cast for months and months. I feel your pain as I am dealing with the bunions as well on both feet and I know how bad they hurt...sometimes the pain from just the bunion's are as bad as the nodules in the middle of my feet.
