  1. We go there pretty much every Saturday night. So we just missed you this week.
  2. Oh come on! I got $42! I got gypped! It's more than I had in the first place so I'm not complaining, but ... wait ... I am complaining!
  3. Try calling Grayson Blanchette. He coaches at Seven Hills, but he also coaches elsewhere. I had a friend who lived in Camden Pointe that he coached and she liked him. http://graysonblanchette.usptapro.com/. A link to his contact info is on the top right of the link page. If he can't help you, I'm sure he can refer you to someone else who can.
  4. The scenario gets even worse, but I don't want to go into it further at this time. It's just a bad situation. Some people should never be parents. She is screwing up her kid so badly that it is never going to be able to be reversed. And the father is no help.
  5. I know. It is sad. She thinks that she is doing a great job parenting him, but all she is doing is screwing him up. Some little kid is going to kick his behind. Neither one of them is going to be able to deal with that.
  6. I have a relative in another state who plans on adopting this method of education for her rising kindergartner son. It is a disaster waiting to happen. She is a hippie herself. She believes that she can teach her son whatever she wants to and does not have to follow any kind of curriculum. He is 4 and still breastfeeds. He eats little-to-no solid food. He appears to have some sort of Autism or learning/behavioral problem. He throws temper tantrums that she gives into at the drop of a hat. She does not allow him to play with other children because they are a bad influence on him. Sports are not
  7. Yayyyyyyy! So happy for you! What a beautiful pup! May she carry on the spirit of Mona and bring you everlasting happiness!
  8. An 88 blood sugar after eating at Moe's! (different strokes for different folks, eh?)
  9. Take a day a week to cook and freeze stuff. Make large amounts of everything but divide and freeze them in individual servings to make defrosting and serving easier. Mashed potatoes, sauce, pasta, meat, green beans, corn, whatever. You might need a small deep freezer. My husband and I frequently get the frozen steamer veggies at Walmart and they work out to about $1/bag or less when on sale. They could make 3 servings for him each, depending on how much he eats. I'm sure there are cookbooks and websites devoted to cooking ahead & freezing meals.
  10. I truly hope that the man is safe, but I immediately got that "something ain't right" feeling in my gut when I first saw this on Facebook. I looked at the original poster's Facebook page and it still didn't feel right. There is something more to this story, just don't know what it is. At any rate, I hope the man is okay.
  11. My prayers go out to you and your husband. Keep us updated.
  12. Oh gosh, I'm so sorry for your loss, so very sorry. I opened the topic to check on Mona and I was startled to read she had died. I honestly didn't think that was going to be the outcome. Poor sweet doggie. I know my puppies must have welcomed her over that beautiful rainbow bridge, so rest assured that she is being well taken care of. As for you and your family, memories of sweet Mona will hopefully help to ease your pain during this horrible time. I'm so sorry again for your loss.
  13. Prayers for sweet Mona! I hate to hear of a sick puppy, especially one having seizures. I hope she feels better pronto! Poor baby girl!
  14. Depending on what kind of vacation you enjoy, SGI can either be perfect or horrible. If you like to do nothing but sit on the beach and relax, it is great. There are homes that you can rent for pretty cheap. Lots of privacy. Beach is not crowded. We stayed in a HUGE house (off-season) for cheap and we had our own private pool, too. It's very pretty, the island is small, and there is a park on the island. The downside? There are hardly any places to eat out. Not any real shopping or anything. Nothing much to do. Web brought our golden retriever with us because we heard how pet-friendly the isla
  15. Marietta Eye Clinic now has a location at the corner of 41/Cobb Pkwy and Mars Hill Rd in Acworth!
  16. Poor kitty. She must be scared to death. She's either too afraid to get down or can't. I'd be afraid of her jumping down from that high up. I think the tree stand thing is a great idea. Good luck.
  17. We stayed at two different places in the Clearwater area. One was at the Residence Inn at Treasure Island and the other was 0.3mi away at the "something something Beach Condo Hotel". Both were awesome. The Residence Inn was much nicer but also more expensive. Both are off a concrete walking trail. Nice beach. The only problem is that the hotels are directly on the beach but it is a little bit of a walk to the water.
  18. I am obsessed with birds. In my last house, I had a nest on the top of one of the "columns" on my front porch. The (seemingly) same bird would come back twice a year every year and lay eggs. I would stand on my dining room chair so that I could see into the nest. It was fun to watch the babies stick their necks out and open their beaks when mama brought back some food. I named her and everything. When I had the house pressure-washed, the men were under strict instruction not to bother the nest. And when I sold my house, I made the new owner *promise* me that she would not remove the nest, desp
  19. The kid next door (9 yrs old) knocked on my door recently and asked if she could walk my 60lb dog. I told her no because I have a fenced backyard for her to run around in, plus I can barely hold her when I walk her. She told me that she was trying to make money to buy something. She asked her mom for the money and she said no. The mother told the kid to knock on my door to see if I would give it to her. Sorry. I will support girl scouts, boy scouts, non-profits, etc. But I am not about to start paying for someone else's kid. Especially when that neighbor has tons of money (or debt) and a humon
  20. I would say you are negotiating once you submit a counter-offer. Until that point, only the buyers are negotiating.
  21. I can't even imagine how hard that must be. I can't imagine if it were my own parents or a sibling. Good for your brother for finding someone else who makes him happy. Sorting out your beloved sister's and parents belongings must be so terribly hard. Hopefully you found some items that brought through a lot of happy memories as well. Hugs to you.
  22. The girl on my case was drunk and failed the field sobriety and breathalyzer. Without getting too specific, she claimed she had a cough and she was drunk from the cough syrup. I'm SURE the empty 12-pk found in her trunk at the time of her arrest had nothing to do with it. I was honored to serve!
  23. I lived in Cobb for 17 years and was only called up once. I was probably around 20 yrs old when called. I was one of the first to be chosen for the case. Turned out it was for a DUI case against a girl in her early 20's. The case lasted 3-4 days. I was really excited to be on the case and found it fascinating to see the courtroom, procedures, and trial. Even more awesome when we found the girl guilty and she had to serve jail time for her stupidity. I would love to be called again and I would serve in a heartbeat! I've been in Paulding for 4 years now and no luck so far. Yes, I realize
