  1. Your pups is adorable! Yay for her! And I have serious kitchen envy. Love everything about it!
  2. I'm so sorry. How sad. Some people are rotten. Hugs and prayers for you and your sweet kitty who did not deserve this.
  3. Oh no, that is awful! Poor kitty - I hope he is okay! Prayers for him! The lowlife that shot him deserves to have his eyes gouged out with a dull, rusty knife.
  4. She did really well! She's home now and still very groggy. She can barely keep her eyes open, poor baby! Lots of sleeping, pain meds, and TLC for the next few days at least. Thanks so much for thinking of her and asking! <3
  5. Go to pinterest.com or etsy.com and search for "nurse gifts". There are a ton of really cool ideas there! They include both things that you can make yourself as well as gifts that you can purchase. One of the unique things that I thought was cool was a stethoscope ID tag. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/63965257181939514/ . I also like the idea of a tote bag with her name on it so that she can bring her food, etc with her to work. I'd be careful about getting a stethoscope because it's very possible that she wants a specific type or color, or might even have one already from nursing school. Also,
  6. There's a Massage Envy in Acworth on 41, but I've never been there.
  7. I thought you could go to jail for an open container, but I'm no expert. Different states have different rules about it. Some say that it can't be within an arm's reach of the driver. Some say otherwise. All I know is that if I come back from someplace with an open bottle of wine in the car, I keep it in the trunk of the car where it is in no one's reach! This way no one can be accused of any crime! Better safe than sorry! Open Container LawThe law defines "open alcoholic beverage container" as any bottle, can, or other receptacle that contains any amount of alcoholic beverage and: (1) is
  8. OH DEAR! This ad does NOT belong on TV! Are the problems mentioned in this ad likely experienced by some women? Yes. Does this medicine help? I don't know, maybe. But that does not require that it gets broadcast on television! Put it in a ladies' magazine or something. Display it on a poster at your gynecologist's office. But not on tv for the general viewing audience! I'm a woman and even I don't want to see this mess! Ugh.
  9. That is awful. Pushing the limit too far, if you ask me. And then we wonder why kids are hyper-sexual at such a young age.
  10. Usually it will say "pending". What I would do if you are not sure is try to find the webpage of the listing agent (Remax, Maximum One, etc). Their page usually has more detail. I think you can search for it using the GA MLS# or searching for the address in Google. (If you have a house in particular that you are interested in, PM me the address and I will try to find it for you.)
  11. Yes, you can absolutely paint them and bring them right home without firing them in the kiln! The kiln is not a mandate. I would definitely do that, just make sure to get something that she won't "use" so that the paint doesn't wear off or chip (if that even happens). Example, don't get a jewelry box, get a decorative plate to hang on the wall instead. I think that painted pottery is a great idea. I bet they'd even let you bring it back to put in the kiln if you wanted to! By the way, what a thoughtful man!!!
  12. I hope I didn't sound like I was trying to discredit you, HW&M! That's not what I intended at all. I was trying to emphasize what you said, not detract from it.
  13. There is one in the same strip mall as Jim N Nick's on 278 in Hiram. Apparently it is called "Remember This Paint Studio" but I don't think the name is on the sign. http://www.rtpaintstudio.com/
  14. I saw that same Facebook post but I think whatever Crossroads Neighborhood Grille said was a load of bullcheeze. That place has been closed for a few weeks now and has had a "furnished restaurant for sale" sign up for probably 2 weeks. The new owner was a real SOB on his Facebook page after people responded to his miserably failed health inspection score. Even with a 40-something score, he refused to close his restaurant (as was recommended by the health department) and he swore up and down that his restaurant was clean and the food was safe. I read the complete health report and I wouldn't to
  15. I got mine from Ace Hardware last year for $20.00.
  16. Do you need those specific books, or can you use any? I think I gave all my biology-related books away, but I can dig if any will do. If you can't find them locally in Paulding, try Amazon.com. They have a used textbook section. I never knew about it until my husband sold 2 books there a few years ago. You can actually rent books there, too. I don't know anything about their rates. http://www.amazon.com/New-Used-Textbooks-Books/b?node=465600
  17. Loved it!!! I think that you can pick up this mini-season even if you didn't watch any of the others. Some of the things that you need to know: CHLOE: Chloe was the super-smart computer chick who worked at the CTU with Jack. She stuck her neck out for him many times when no one else believed him or would help him, even while he was on the run. AUDREY: Audrey is President Heller's daughter and is now married to Mark. She and Jack were in love at one time and I think they were married? It's been 4+ years, I can't remember exactly. KIM: Kim is Jack's daughter. She was featured in one
  18. jdoxakis01, I replied to your PM. Thanks for the interest! Your kitten sounds perfect for my little girl. She is not fixed yet but will be on 5/16. I'd be perfectly willing to keep her until then - or even a bit after the surgery - to make sure she is okay. I am getting her spayed for free since I went to "Beat the Heat" in March. She has never been around kids before, so I can't answer that question for you. In my PM, though, I did say that she does have nails and DOES scratch. I haven't had a kitten in 13 years (I adopted my current cat as an adult) so I really can't remember the kitten days
  19. It very well could be a purebreed, I just don't want to advertise her as such because I don't know for sure. The genetics confuse me, too! I do know for sure that she is a rumpy, which is the most "desired" one to have. She not only has a unique tail (or lack thereof, rather) but she also has a unique coloring pattern. Very cute. Her fur is cottony soft!
  20. Thank you, OSU!!! I appreciate your help, and everyone else's!!!
  21. Thank you, Rockysmom!!! I cannot confirm whether she is a full-breed Manx or not. She seems to have some Maine Coon characteristics (chirps, tufted ears, big ears, big eyes, etc), but those same characteristics are often that of a Manx, too. So I don't know! All I do know is that both the Manx and Maine Coon are AWESOME cats and very similar in personality. This kitty definitely has a lot (if not all) Manx in her. She has no tail whatsoever, deemed a "rumpy". Her back just all of a sudden *stops*. So darn cute. It freaked me out a little at first but now I just love it. She's a feisty little g
