We work with a rescue group (for a specific breed) and the fosters have a majority of the say of where a dog goes to. I wouldn't immediately write off a rescue group. In my opinion, a rescue group has the best chances of finding the pups a good home. Would you be able to keep the dogs in the apartment temporarily by fostering the dogs until the rescue group found them a permanent home? The most difficult part is that you want both dogs to be adopted by the same person. I understand why you would want that, but that will cause the adoption process to take longer. Good luck to you, and I hope th

Congrats! As someone who struggles with multiple medical issues and infertility, I know how excited she must be! -

Berry College Eagle is not looking happy

I am completely obsessed with the eagles. I also saw the owl attack when it happened and I was so freaked out. There is now (supposedly) a pip in the egg (for real this time) so the first hatching should be tomorrow or Sunday. I hope both of the babies make it! -
What is a check?

I am so sorry for your loss. Now you have another angel in Heaven! I am sure that my KC (02/14/2000), Lady, Whammer, Sushi, Sadie B, and Joey welcomed her with open paws. May your happy memories always ease your pain and sadness.

I'm so sorry. I KNOW how hard this is to do. Prayers for the sweet puppy as she crosses over the Rainbow Bridge. (We had to put down my lhasa apso, KC, on Valentine's Day in 2000. I still think of her every single year.) -
I saw the signs driving into Seven Hills this afternoon. Congrats and welcome home, soldier!!!

We LOVE Longhorn's. They have a 7-pepper steak salad. It is very good (lots of pepper). There is a Longhorn in Hiram.

My husband and I were weekly diners there when it used to be Paisano's. It went downhill from there. We went once while it was under "Marietta Diner" ownership and it was awful. If you were going there for Greek food, it was supposedly great, but the American food was definitely lacking. I've heard that it has changed ownership once again and we still have NO desire to go there, even though it is very convenient to our home. I always like to support local businesses in our community, but this is just not one that I can stomach.

I tried the lovey idea and it has worked wonderfully! I thought that she would snuggle with it (ha!) and use it as her "mama", but it worked in an entirely different way. She attacks the thing like crazy, but at least it is the lovey and not me! I carry the thing around the room with me while I'm in there playing with her. Every time she goes to attack me (a lot!) I shove the lovey in between her paws. Then she attacks the lovey. It doesn't stop her from attacking me in the first place, but hopefully with consistency she will stop. I am prepared to do

I tried the scruff thing (didn't hurt her, but basically it was the only way to grab her without her biting me), but all it did was tick her off and make her attack me even harder. After a couple of tries, I stopped doing that. So that's a no-go for me.

THANK YOU so much! You are so kind! I'd love to have it if you are sure that you won't need it anymore. Think about it and let me know!

Thank heavens! Hope you feel better and have a quick recovery. The pet love will surely make things better!

I've been trying to attach a picture, but PCom won't let me. It's been acting wonky. I think there's an update coming soon.

Okay, I'll go if it doesn't get better by Wed. I'll try the mist. The stream seems a bit harsh.

Thank you for the suggestions. All good info. I washed the scratches immediately with peroxide and have used Neosporin the past 2-3 days. I bandaged the cuts on my leg that are probably infected. I wash my hands every time after I handle her (a LOT) because she has not been tested for any kitty diseases. Bad, I know. We've had her for roughly 2 weeks and I didn't think I was going to keep her at first. I planned to just foster her until I found a good home. My cat (pictured in my avatar) just died in December and I was not ready for a new cat. I had 1 relative, 1 neighbor, and 1 friend lined

A few weeks ago, I rescued a stray kitten that was walking in my yard. It was freezing cold out and she only appeared to be 3 months old. I brought her in and she is happy as can be. My problem is that the kitten has TORN me to shreds. I am scratched, scarred, bleeding, and bitten. One set of the scratches on my left lower leg even appears to be infected. I know that some of this behavior is typical of kittens (I've had several cats over the years) but this just seems excessive. She can't go 5 seconds without attacking me in some way. She even crawls up my back when I'm sitting and grabs a

Has she tried the local (and not so local) vet's offices? Petsmart? Petco?
