  1. We need to legalize marijuana everywhere in this Country as well as open the door to growing hemp- which is a great crop for ethanol and grows in marginal soil. Paulding needs to be in on the ground floor of this if it is ever legalized. Another avenue for revenue for GA is porn. There is only one or two counties in CA where it is legal to produce porn, if we could start utilizing our film studio for that purpose- think of all the $$$$ our County could be raking in. Since we have all the pot and porn, might as well legalize prostitution and have and have some casinos too... Paulding cou
  2. I thought perhaps they might due a delay opening today and be closed tomorrow. Tomorrow would be a no brainer to me on being closed. Question is now-- what about Wednesday?
  3. ech.. it looks like one of those pics of an aborted fetus..
  4. We need think of of do something to do in Paulding County that NO ONE else in the whole entire world has done to put us on the map to fame and fortune for all. A skyscraper twice as large as any built before in the shape of an hexagon, the worlds largest mall completely underground, a casino on a man made island in the middle of our reservoir.. Let's come up with some ideas for our BOC!!!
  5. I do worry about the feral cats we feed- they will not let us touch them. We do put down bags of cedar shavings under the porch each winter and it is blocked from the wind by shrubbery...
  6. Since this is a family member, your kind of one the hook to send something-- maybe a gift card or you could go in with some other people towards the purchase of a crib, car seat, items needed. Diapers are always needed. I do despise the obvious gift grabbers- you know the ones- sending out invitations to about everyone they ever met like the children of parents friends that maybe they met a couple of times... Its not that hard, to plead a double booking for the time of the shower and send a $5 to $10 gift or something needed- onesies, bibs, small pack of diapers... It does appear tha
  7. Now they use these suction cup type things (vacuum assisted) they attach to the baby's head. Kiddo was sunny side up (face up) and wedged in there, suction thing was attached, it came off as the doc pulled and had to re-attach and pull. Thank goodness I couldn't see that but needless to say hubby was mortified.. and kiddo was only 6 pounds 5 ounces...
  8. I wonder if they will delay school for a couple of hours due to the cold... Might happen anyway if we have frozen precipitation. Kiddo lucked up this week--has to be car rider at least for this week due to potential hairline fracture of bone in foot.. ugh!
  9. All I want to do is ask AL Gore how the global warming thingie is working out for him... hehe..
  10. Conan visits American girl.. Hilarious!! http://www.glamour.com/entertainment/blogs/obsessed/2013/12/watch-conan-obriens-mischievou.html
  11. What a 1st class facility. Will be hard to compete with that...
  12. I think the more appropriate question is what real estate broker, firm and agent, etc. will be involved in the transaction.
  13. If the bonds don't go thru, then will see how creative the AA can be or how bad Propeller wants this deal- enough to pony up the $$ for the expansion- we shall see.
  14. You forget its not their pockets- its ours and according to them we are a never ending source of income. They will bleed Paulding dry fighting this.
  15. Mojo- please let us know what happens at the hearing if you will be attending. I have looked at the stoppauldingairport.com and there are statements out on the site w/out backup documents to support the claims that there were environmental shortcuts taken and noise issues. My original thought is that if any of this is true- could this cause the FAA not to reimburse and then we are on the hook? In the grand scheme of things, I am not worried about this. My main concern is that Propeller seems to have some kind of agenda if they have been trying to get a deal with an Airport in the Atlant
  16. Good gawd... She's had way too much surgery and botox and collagen injections and she's not even 20. Yikes!!!
  17. Yep PC taxpayers are going to be in a continuous cycle of feeding Hartsfield Jr aka Silver Comet Field via increased taxes, plenty of more bond issuances to come. I don't believe a 6000 foot runway is going to be sufficient- try 7000 to 9000. Branson MO is a very interesting case study- only private commercial airport in US, although a common model in Europe. They have a 7000 foot runway. A study done concerning the feasibility of a 2nd airport in Atlanta assumed a 9000 foot runway..
  18. What I am thinking about is these newly formed company(ies) that are promising to pay the interest on the bond until the FAA reimburses files bankruptcy leaving the county on the hook for the payments because the deal ends up being a total flop. Most hedge funds are set in a manner that they are making a management fee off managing other folks money, if they make money for their clients, they got a % of the profits, if the deal goes bust, well they still have the management fee income-- so no loss to them if the deal goes bad, just more taxes for PC residents and we can thank the Austin Admi
  19. I nominate your post for post of the year, if there was such a thing on p.com. LMAO!!!!
  20. Do an open records request and see how long it takes to get one. Heard of at least one person getting the run around for a good week or two before getting a copy. IF ITS SUCH A GOOD DEAL, WHY THE SECRECY AUSTIN ADMINISTRATION? PS. Be sure to request any and all addendums, appendixes, etc to the contract, otherwise you will not get them.
  21. Many are speculating it is Allegiant Air. The have routes to a good # of cities. I don't understand why the Austin Administration isn't more transparent now that the deal is out. Why not have set up some town hall meetings to address some people's concerns? They will not do this because there actions, IMO indicate they see the citizens of Paulding County as just a bunch of dumb rednecks and they can do whatever they want to us...
  22. Commercial service doesn't seem viable due to access issues UNLESS other things are in play that have not bee disclosed yet like bringing the toll road back into play.. Then it makes sense as does the recent trip to Hong Kong-- deep pockets for JV partnerships of all sorts....
  23. I am glad you brought the issue of the non disclosure agreement up, I have been thinking about this. If the AA was under Non disclosure agreement, it would perhaps appease a few people if they had stated that fact. As it appears now they just wanted to slip it through.. Perhaps the third go around for our friends at Propeller wised up, got a non disclosure agreement in place.. And stercus- I know a few things about complex business dealings, having been in business development myself for a few years in the healthcare industry. and I think Todd is out for Todd... No fan of any of them..
  24. This is what infuriates me so much-- the collectivist mindset of well if its good for some-- be d*mned with those few who have had their property values and piece of mind destroyed-- they just need to get over it because its going to bring jobs... We've got to over the secrecy, bla, bla, bla-- its jobs jobs jobs. Well they have been saying that for years and said it about the movie studio too... The airport issues addressed by citizens could have been handled differently pointed blank and with the folks in office and on the Authority they will continue to go unaddressed. I plan on voti
  25. Well rumor has it that David is not going to run for chair again. So I guess according to the rumor mill we'll have to choose between Tommy Graham, Tony Crowe and Todd Pownall for Chairman.. LOL!!
