Hubby works for a company that manages REO properties for small banks and funds, acts as receiver of corporate bankruptcies and works with banks that have foreclosed on businesses-- handling the disposition of assets, sale of business, running business during all legalities worked out and is sold.

We were hoping Romney would win, but 4 more years of Obama means my husband's business will be very busy. Should be hiring even more people soon..

In the first time in my adult life I did not vote. It didn't matter who won because mathmatically we are about to hit a fiscal wall. Many people who comment on several sites I follow see the writing on the wall and are completely disengaging from the politcal process and society as well as going Galt. They are moving to other parts of the country to more conservative and/or rural areas, selling their business, homes etc. They wil not support the beast with their $$$ anyomore.. Dang I haven't even decided who I am going to vote for and am increasingly leaning towards not voting this time. Jill Stein almost had my write in vote until she pulled that Keystone pipeline crap this past week. Can't vote for Obama because I don't agree with his energy policy. The Republicans just scare the sh*t out of me and Gary Johnson-- maybe. So at this point I don't know if its worth going to the polls to write in Satan for president and a straight D for everything else and ya'll are talking about what channel your going to watch...

We had the vast majority of ours between 8:10 and 8:40. Last year we were completely dead about 10 after 8. There still a few left when I turned out the light that I would have been able to give something to if I hadn't have doubled up on a few kids in my neighborhood. Some even remembered the oreos from last year and were glad to get them this year. I ended having about 75-80 kids come thru-- about 15-20 more than last year.

Where are they? I've got 75 packs of oreo's left to give out..

We have a huge neighborhood of smaller,older homes behind ours. We have a lot of folks that drive over to our neighborhood. I guess thats where they are coming from. Not to mention there is cut through that a lot of the kids use. Their neighborhood is a lot more conducive to walking in a lot of places but I wonder if they think the pickings are better over here? Don't know. I don't know of anyone in our neighborhood that goes over there to TOT..

duskish.. Is that even a word? Around the time it starts to get dark is when the kids in my neighborhood start venturing out...

I'm handing out packs of Oreo cookies. Three boxes of 30 each come out to about what I normally spend on large bags of candy. Whatever is leftover, I have for kiddo's lunch, snack etc. It also gives me an easy way to see how many kids come thru too. I had about 55 last year and am anticipating close to 70 or so this year.

I've changed my mind on this one. I'm voting No! If this passes-- expect higher property taxes levied by the local BOE.

I think its all fun and games for folks to see an airshow 2 days out of the year . Its a whole different ballgame for the people who invested their money in a home and property only to have an airport built nearby to in many cases destroy their home and property values and peace of mind 365 days of the year. Why don't you try walking a mile in someone else's shoes..

These people and their elected officials care about nothing other than themselves.
