  1. I will forward to my 22 yr. old son. He's been out of work far too long. Any money is good money! Any work is good work!
  2. I did this 2 weeks ago! I HATE getting my boobs smashed! But I checked out fine. And, I'm happy to say, this is after 3 years of putting it off. One thing would lead to another and then a year has passed by. I'm glad I finally went.
  3. I agree! Hubby and I love sitting at the bar when Amanda is working. She's a hoot! I guess that would be friday nights because of karaoke. That's fun too. But cigs?? Nope. I draw the line. I can't sit in that smoke. Talk about a killer migraine! My hubby loves the expensive scotch too. I think they just lost some customers if they went towards the smoking thing.
  4. I don't know. I'm thinking it was after 7 or so because it was already dark. Wait! It was around 8 because Bones was on and I had to pause it so I wouldn't miss anything while I ran outside to watch the chopper. Sad life, huh?
  5. No, I don't think its the same wreck. I would not have heard ambulances etc. if they were going up to McClung. The emergency vehicles stopped alot closer than that. We believe it was at Bill Carruth and Hiram Sudie. Thanks! I just wanted to know.
  6. We live about 1/4 mile from that intersection. Last night there were sirens going forever. They seemed to stop right at that intersection. Then we saw the life flight land over at the new print shop on Rich Davis. They have a big area for it. We heard the ambulance run over there and then the chopper flew off. But I don't see anything on here about what happened. Does anybody know? It couldn't have been the McClung Road van accident mentioned earlier. Because that chopper landed way up at Cochran Ridge and that's just too far.
  7. Our daughter just did this as well - no lawyers. But she and her ex-husband did not have any children. She still did not get all of the items out of the house that she wanted, but they are not important items. She got the really important stuff out. He brought them to her twice. No problems. He signed the papers, they both got their portions notarized and delivered to Bartow county courthouse. Her name has already been legally changed back to her maiden name. Smooth as silk.
  8. You can call the county courthouse where you live (if you're filing - the other person's county if the spouse is filing). They have a pre-packaged set of papers that you will need. Each county charges something different but they aren't high. I believe Bartow was less than $100 also. Our daughter just went through this. She did a name change also. Went smooth as silk.
  9. There's no sound. I've got my volume turned on too. I know it works because I just watched another video and heard sound from it.
  10. Is college out of town? If so, I'd tell my 16 yr old he needs to start saving up now for a car of his own. But as far as sharing? My triplets shared a car for almost a year. We had a whiteboard that was broken down into the days of the month. Then, if someone needed it for something special they had to be sure to put it on the whiteboard. Sometimes one kid would have to give a ride to another on his/her way to a date or work. Or one would have to go get the other after work because the car was needed elsewhere. It worked out pretty well. Then the boys had saved enough money to put
  11. The title made me look twice! Physic is a laxative! I was wondering where we were going with this!!!
  12. I was on a fairly high dose of topamax. Did not help me. Did not lose weight either. I get migraines every day. I take the abortives every day - even though the neuro says not to. Well, the way I see it? She's not having the pain I have. There's no way I can work or even have some semblance of life if I don't take the abortives. The pain would render me useless. The topamax, at the high dose, made me stupid. I forgot what I was saying, would say incorrect words in place of correct ones (such as the time I asked one of my kids to put his jacket in the trash - instead of the close
  13. SuperCuts Hair Salon in Hiram is closing. I heard this from one of the ladies who works there. Their lease is up at the end of the month and they will not be renewing. Nor will they be opening a shop elsewhere. They are splitting up the team. The Supercuts is next door to the AT& T store in the Hiram Walmart shopping center on 278.
  14. The fare is $3 one way. They start from Atlanta towards home around 3. I sometimes catch the 3:15 bus at the Art Center station (Marta) and ride home to Hiram to the Movies 278. Straight shot. Yes, the 477 picks up around the Suntrust building and the peachtree tower area.
  15. I tried doing that just before I went in for my hysterectomy. I figured that if they were taking my ovaries, maybe somebody could use the eggs I didn't. WRONG! I was too old. I was in my early forties. They said they only take donated eggs from women 30 and under. At least that's what I remember them saying. And I only called one clinic. Figured they were all the same.
  16. FIRST: Find another lawyer. Ask around her for their help. My daughter used Norad, she's in Marietta but can practice in Paulding. She's very busy, she will get things done. She works great with custody cases. She just won ours. SECOND: Get this lawyer to file with disability to garnish the check. Or, have the check sent THROUGH the court system. That way, the courts keep up with it and when it doesn't come, they send somebody after him. http://singleparents.about.com/od/legalissues/p/deadbeat.htm I think that if there is no legal agreement between the parents, there is
  17. They are usually 5 minute tests. They usually give you a few minutes to warm up your fingers. Then they time you twice. So you test twice and take the better of the two scores. My suggestion is to take your time. There are usually capitals, maybe numbers. But take your time, and during the practice, try to set up a rhythm. That always helped me.
  18. Thanks. Also, is there one out there that is not church related?
  19. Is there a free support group in Paulding for the newly divorced, or the folks going through divorce? Just wondrin....
  20. WOW! WOW! WOW! ......WOW! I say this because I am soooo happy I am not the only one whose hubby has to sleep in another room. None of the family understood it at first. They automatically think the marriage is in trouble. Where in the vows does it say that you HAVE to sleep together? I snore, and I HAVE to have the fan on. My hubby is an extremely light sleeper. Most of the time, all I had to do was turn over in the bed. After many years of him suffering and nudging me to turn over or whatever, we moved him to a room across the hall. Now we both sleep SOOOOO good!!
  21. Our car insurance company does this as well. We had 4 teenagers on our insurance at the same time (3 boys!). Tripletmom2000: Save up now!! With our triplets, we first started with one car and they scheduled when they needed it. We had a calendar and everything. Then, as they got older and got jobs, we had to purchase more vehicles. At one point, we had 6 vehicles parked in our yard - one for every person. It's a good thing we live on our own acreage wayyyy back off the road! People would think we were having parties ALL the time! Yes, it got expensive, but it was manageable when the
  22. " I would have NEVER allow that many implants, and, if I had, I would have made sure they "terminated" down to a healthy number! " Okay. I'm not EVEN going to touch this one. Goes against everything I believe in.
