  1. She needs to go to Legal Aid and get a lawyer. They work pro bono. And, here's something else. IF she leaves and SAYS SHE'S LEAVING - NEVER COMING BACK, he can change the locks on the doors and not let her back in there for anything. IF she leaves, make sure she does it when he's not home. Make sure she takes EVERYTHING she wants, EVERYTHING she THINKS she wants. Anything left behind will stay there until the divorce papers are drawn up. If she leaves, and hubby tries to counter-sue to take the child, he needs to have grounds. If she's stayed at home and not strayed outside the marriage,
  2. My daughter-in-law has started her own cake decorating biz. She does awesome work! I'm sure if you ask, she'll do a little smash cake for you. You should give her a call. Her name is Cindie Redmond. If interested, pm me.
  3. I have a twin. No boxspring. just two mattresses. I have no idea how I ended up that way. It's yours if you want it. No cost. Just come get it. PM me if interested.
  4. There is a small home for rent on Hiram Sudie Road. Nice front yard, back yard. don't know who is landlord. I know who it belonged to a LONG time ago. I live right next door to this house. If you go from 92 onto Hiram Sudie, go through Bill carruth intersection. The house is first house you can actually see on the left. (my house is two down from that, you can't see it from the road). check it out. I know they've done quite a bit of work on it over the years.
  5. WELL SAID! I'm following this chain as well. My mother is not sick. But she did not make our lives happy when we lived with her. She is unstable, does not remember (or chooses not to remember) the things she said/did. I will not get into them here as this is not about me. But both of these posts (this one, and the original) have helped me realize that not everyone has the peaches and cream relationship with Mom. Mine was oil and vinegar. I agree here that if you did not have a good relationship with your mother before she got sick, there is not sense starting one now. You need to
  6. Call my son, Donald Redmond. The preacher that did his wedding in May does not have a church yet. He is the uncle of my son's wife. My son will help you get in touch with him. OOPS. Pm me for his number. I posted his number in a previous post and they got me! No more phone numbers up front. I hear ya'll! I'm listening! Cheesecake: just pm me. Thanks./ Tripletmom
  7. You can call my son, Donald. He does painting on the side. He's done alot of houses for the folks at his church. Also, his wife's family. Oh, and ours. Tripletmom Edit: Removed phone number - CC members may post phone numbers, or have their phone numbers posted. You may PM the phone number.
  8. I don't know anything about a computer program doing this. BUT, when my eyes were weakened (by age), the doctor told me to use a pencil. A regular pencil. Just move it in front of my face, right to left and back again. Away from my face, and closer in and repeat. I was not to move my head, just my eyes. This helped. And I'll be you've got a pencil lying around the house!!!!
  9. I agree. What about all of that new construction going in over on the backside of Hiram across from Metromont at that tracks? Why are they building all of that when they can stop and put that money back into the budget? What about the dirt movers on bill carruth pkwy? All I EVER see them doing is moving dirt from one spot to another. Are they EVER going to begin building? If not, STOP moving the dirt! I live in Hiram. I drive Bill carruth, 278, 92 all the time. I don't see anybody working on any roads. Where are they? I don't even see the jailbirds out cleaning. THAT'S what we shou
  10. Boys & Girls clubs of America - Paulding Co. branch, Dallas, GA. They can always use the cash. They need bicycles too. And board games. Since BGCA is a non-profit org, donations are down with the economy. Churches and orgs like Girl Scouts/Boy Scouts all collect money on a routine basis from their members. The BGCA kids have varying membership dues depending on their economic status. And the national headquarters does not support them except through grants, scholarships, or federal funding. Give to the Clubs. The kids need you!!
  11. FYI: For Direct TV customers, this one is on at 10:00 am Sunday, on TNT, July 5. The Direct TV website doesn't say it but the TNT website says that's when we can see this episode. So much for scheduling early!
  12. So, I was watching NCIS last night. McGhee had poison ivy in the worst place. Couldn't sit still. So, Abby mixed up some baking soda and white vinegar and told him to apply all over the bad parts. It worked. Or, at least it worked on TV!
  13. I worked with Marcelle so very long ago at New Beginnings. It was my first job. She was such a sweet lady. I haven't seen her since then. I was only 16 years old and it was my summer job. But I thoroughly enjoyed myself. She really loved those kids! She will be missed.
  14. I went to school with a young girl named Grogan (Venice, I think). I remember she said she was his daughter. This was back in 1978. She wasn't mentioned. Don't know if this is true or not.
  15. I don't want to sound insensitive. So, family, please forgive me. There was a lady who rode our bus each day into Atlanta. Got off right at AGL. She was really sick around Christmas. I haven't seen her since then. She was blonde. smoked. Wore her hair in a clip on the top of her head. Seemed very nice. But she was a quiet person. Is this the same person?? I am wondering?
  16. Yes. This is him. He retired back in 02 from Aiken Construction on Hwy 61 across from Paulding High. I believe that the many who owned Aiken Construction must have been P.L.'s brother. They just lost Tommy, P.L.'s nephew.
  17. I just checked mine. There were two I've never heard of and one of my son! I wouldn't block my son... Tripletmom
  18. Not listed in the obit, but ajc.com says that Mr. Rakestraw was also a member of the Board for the Paulding County Boys and Girls Club. I work at the corporate headquarters and I know that people who work with the kids like he did are very special people. I didn't know John Wesley. I know alot of his relatives! But, since I see that he was on this Board, I am impressed and grateful for his time with the kids. I know that being on the Board can be a tough job. I know that he probably didn't have alot of time with the kids as a Board member (but maybe he volunteered?). But, even a Board m
  19. From the Paulding County Class of 1978: We send our deepest sympathies to our fellow graduates (Linda and Lee) and their families.
  20. Does anyone know what happened? My kids went to school with her daughter, Vanessa. PM me please!
  21. This was right at the end of our driveway and we didn't hear at thing!! I'd like to know what happened too!
  22. Can you pm me with Lisa's maiden name? I think I know her from school. Of course, that would be round about PCHS class of 78. Thanks! tripletmom
