And my recent experience with DirecTV puts them in the same category.

Aw, hell. I thought this was going to be a thread about Guard Dad.

Wasn't one of those kids who was really sick the son of Jeff Blauser, the Brave's shortstop?

As much as it pains me to root for a former Gator, I really like Tim Tebow. I wish him nothing but the best. Here's hoping some of Tebow's class and humanity will rub off on Brady and that jerk coach of the Patriots.

Another thread about White Water was discussing chubby, poorly tattooed chicks in bikinis. That told me all I needed to know.

Just think of how much you spend for a membership here, just so you can be exposed to such brilliance. -

Hummmh. I wouldn't know that, not ever having been a guest of PCSO.

Alcohol and keyboards don't mix. -
If you only knew. We did happen to solve a murder case with some photos we processed, though. A young woman gave birth and dumped the baby into a storm sewer not far from Anheuser-Busch Brewery. The baby's body was found a day or two later. The mother and her boyfriend returned to the scene and she got out of the car and stood right on top of the drop inlet in the gutter where the baby had been, and posed for a photo. A neighbor happened to see the photo session and called StLouis PD, I got a call a day or so later from a detective wanting to confiscate the entire batch of fi

There are so many thing wrong with this, I really don't know where to start. If the Marshal's officers are carrying a badge and a gun as sworn officers, I fail to understand this reactive enforcement policy. The damn law is the damn law. If we citizens have to point out to these "LEOs" the obvious violations and they are not going to be proactive about enforcing the codes and ordinances, then we either need to repeal the laws or fire their dumb azzes. Our elected commissioners enacted those codes and ordinances at the behest of the public (in theory, anyway). But somehow, t

That brings back some memories...I used to own 47 Fotomat kiosks in the St. Louis market. You folks wouldn't believe the home-made porn we used to see.

Exactly...it takes one page on a website. Handled just like a tip-line. If a complainant makes unfounded malicious accusations about code violations, bust 'em. Those submitted forms could easily be plugged into a spreadsheet and broken up by geography and distributed to LEOs. Instead of parking in the back lot at Mt.Tabor Park and talking with each other, they could be doing something useful for a change. Here's a list of unsightly premises complaints...check 'em out while you are on patrol.

Do you have any explanation for Marshalls and PCSO just driving by and ignoring obvious violations? How can you justify PART of law enforcement being reactive and not proactive? what is common sense about that?

I saw that, too. But this article is from a news source I'd never heard of before. Not saying it isn't true, but maybe we'd better not light the torches just yet. It would be a lot more believable to me if I saw (or read) interviews with the alleged victim's home towns shown. I have a spidey sense about this. Crappy sensationalism and lousy fact checking is my gut feeling. And you all KNOW how much respect I have for Paulding government. As in ZERO. Part of me hopes I'm wrong and they are a guilty as sin and the lid blows off the whole place. -

Just want to remind everybody that there is ANOTHER Paulding County in Ohio. That article was full of generalizations and not much detail. And it mentioned another facility in Ohio, which made me wonder. Far be it from me to EVER defend this County's lousy government, but please don't jump to conclusions on this one. -
Some restricted subdivisions require at least a 50" LCD unit.

Happy? Yep. Couldn't resist the opportunity. Quit leading with your chin, big boy.
