  1. Unless of course, you happen to live in a restricted subdivision.
  2. And even if this nonsense had even a shred of credibility, one would have to ask what the hit on the taxpayers would be if all those employees were on the "dole". What would the state's coffers look like if WalMart just pulled out of WI and didn't collect any more sales taxes?
  3. Bingo!!! When David Austin was first running for Chairman, he and I had a conversation about the burned out building at E. Paulding and Mt. Tabor. At that time, it had not even been cleaned up one bit, the caved-in roof was still there at that time. David told me that (indirectly) the land owner was someone who the County "didn't want to piss off.", so they were turning a blind eye to the mess. So, it's back to the good-ole boy Paulding network. What ever happened to work details out of the jails?
  4. About two weeks or so ago, I was on E. Paulding approaching Mt.Tabor, west bound. You may remember that there is the shell of a burned out building right on the corner, and immediately East of there is an (apparently) out-of-business place with a bunch of big plastic tanks sitting around. Leaning up against the building is a stack of old mattresses. Anyhow, as I approached the intersection, a Marshall's car stopped on the Eastbound side, got out of his car right in front of all that mess, and took a "Garage Sale" sign out of the right-of-way, and tossed it in the back of his car.
  5. Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt. — ABRAHAM LINCOLN.
  6. Yeah. But, all "your" trash is electronic, and you can could eliminate the trolls with just a couple of keystrokes. You don't need no freakin' Marshal. You got yer own corps of deppitys.
  7. One hell of a GREAT IDEA. I know.=, I know!!! Let's start with trolls and see how it works out.
  8. Having gone the route of filling out the form a while back, I can promise you that it is a total waste of time. First and foremost, they require you to identify yourself, and the complaint is then public record and can be seen by the junky homeowner. So you open yourself up to recriminations. Secondly, even if the Marshall shows up, eventually, all they do is "warn" the resident. If, after 30 days, the problem isn't cleaned up, they will come back and cite the resident. Then, the property owner/resident AND the complainant have to appear in front of the Magistrate. And Valb
  9. I doubt if even WallyWorld has enough TP in stock to accomplish that clean-up.
  10. ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ That. Because the public education system has been dumbed down to pass the lowest of the low, a HS education means virtually nothing these days. As a (former) employer, it is appalling to read resumes with basic grammar and spelling mistakes. I've had employees who couldn't take two measurements with a tape measure and add or subtract the two measurements from each other. Didn't even know the formula to calculate square footage.
  11. Toward the left???? That's certainly a one-way-street.
  12. Don't you mean that the left is mostly comprised of those who are unwilling or unable to help themselves?
  13. My goodness! Didn't that happen right in my back yard? East Paulding Drive and Brooks Rackley Rd, wasn't it?
  14. Well, the responses to my original post were somewhat surprising to me. Most of you fell right in line with the "administration" and their rules and codes. What came to my mind was the double standards that are just accepted as everyday facts. Wasn't it in MA a while back where an Arabic woman refused to remove her burqua for a drivers' license photo, and the politically correct crowd bullied the State into giving her a license showing only her eyes? My paternal grandmother was born in the 1880's in the Oklahoma Territory on a Cherokee reservation. So, I'm 1/4 NA. I pay atten
  15. For the first time in probably 30 years I have to have a filling. It's on the bite surface of a lower molar. It had been previously filled and it came out and chipped some of the tooth in the process. The dentist says it can be refilled/repaired. I have no idea what the cost of such a procedure should run. Anybody got any ideas what this might cost?
  16. An Alabama girl who is Native American has had her diploma withheld and has been "fined" $1000 by the school system for wearing an Eagle feather during commencement in honor of her heritage. I betcha if she were Muslim and wanted to wear a burqa, everything would be just fine. My link
  17. I used to work with a guy who had his own still over in Newton County. He gave me a swig of some of his shine one time. That stuff would eat the enamel off your teeth, I tell ya. Back then, not much I wouldn't drink, but that stuff was POWERFUL.
  18. Yeah. That. And speaking of mindless...the proper word is DRIVEL. Dribble is the slobber dripping off the chin of a mindless troll. Or, bouncing a basketball, the contents of which is air, relating back to the cranial contents of the aforementioned troll. So, you may have inadvertently conveyed a concept by the improper use of a word.
  19. Now, that, folks is State Fair winning, top of the barrel, gold medal quality bullcheeze. And a hearty congrats to you, Pubs, for cornering the market on bovine manure in Paulding County.
  20. Say what? He's going to be recalled and thrown out of office, and he's a winner? That's some Blue-Ribbon bullcheese, right there.
  21. We've heard great things about a husband and wife team of sitters, but don't know how to contact them. We, too, are in the hunt for a sitter.
  22. Already do...anything to avoid Wellstar.
  23. The headline of this thread reminded me of a scene in M.A.S.H. Col Potter was getting ready to "bug out" or move the Hospital out of danger. He gave the command to "evacuate", just as a shell landed nearby. Hawkeye's line was "I think I just did!"
