Try telling that to P.com's resident troll. -
Who do you think was (is) the greatest President?

A Portrait of Reagan hanging on the Oval Office wall would have more leadership capability and veracity than the golf-playing buffoon who has infested the White House. -

I'm pretty sure as this thread evolves nobody will mention the incumbent or Jimmah Carter as the "greatest", unless somehow the conversation goes toward being a total waste of oxygen. That's OK, nobody is going to pay you much mind, anyhow. -
Two words: Neutered. Males.

Publix to take over housing authority property at 61/278
glassdogs replied to JessicaHouston's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Publix is usually 75% to 100% more money on "brand" canned and boxed items than WallyWorld. House brand milk is almost double WM prices. And WHY would you pay $3 a gallon MORE for Mayfield milk? The only thing we ever buy at Publix is deli items (Boar's Head) and some perishables. -
Who do you think was (is) the greatest President?

My obvious answer is Ronald Wilson Reagan. The most underrated one was Harry S Truman. "The Buck Stops Here". He was the last President with a set of balls to actually WIN a war. The big booms in Hiroshima and Nagasaki got the Japs' attention, and 3 days later they were surrendering on the deck of the battleship Missouri. Somehow that lesson got lost on succeeding POTUSs.. -
Honestly I want to know.....not trolling, seriously.

Ex Cop charged in lying about Purple Heart
glassdogs replied to justgettingby's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Not sure what all the hubbub is about. After all we have a former candidate for president and current Secretary of State who faked a wound in Nam to get a Purple Heart. Nobody seems to be too shook up about that. -
Ex Cop charged in lying about Purple Heart

Holly Springs. Ken Ball, Chief of Police. The same Ken Ball who had Paulding Countians swooning over his attempt to be Sheriff in the County a few years back. And a used-to-be-regular poster here on P.com. Consider this: this lame-ass "officer" had to have filled out many pages of applications and background checks to even get into LE. Don't ya think maybe somewhere he would have had to submit his DD214? Somewhere on it (assuming it wasn't falsified) should have been the Purple Heart notification/award. So it makes me wonder why a Chief of Police who hired the guy wouldn't ha -
Typical left wing solution. Legislate and regulate.

I hope all their hard work doesn't turn out to be a flop. -
Ummmh? Do YOU want to be the one giving mouth-to-mouth and CPR to one of those beached whales in the middle of WalMart? Let 'em ride, I say.

So, what did I miss when I went to Wally World for a couple of hours?
-
You say that like its' a bad thing?
-
Just came home from Wally World. Bought two big jars of Jif- Reduced Fat. If SWMBO thinks it's low-fat, that means I can eat (almost) twice as much. I found out that works with Edy's ice-cream, too.

PLEASE, do not show us a picture of the parking garage. -
One other thing about the "Genie". If you record a program or download a movie, it does it via your INTERNET, not their satellites. If you have DSL, like I do, it will hog all your bandwidth or take 90 minutes to download a movie. If you are using Comcrooks for both your TV and internet, you may not be able to cancel one without losing the other.
-
Until they get the software problems fixed, I'd suggest you hang in there with Comcrooks. The main unit just shut down night before last. The LR set was not on, just the BR. The "client" is hooked to the main receiver by a coax. The main unit just decided to power down and reboot right in the middle of a program we were watching, during prime time. And of course, when the client loses its' signal from the Genie, it has to be rebooted, also. About a 20 minute total process. The HD picture is AMAZING...and that is about all I can say good about the Genie.
-
Yer weird. Does it have a number, at least?

I disagree with the DTV guy. The remote is not at all intuitive, and hard to use. It will not control a sound bar. Scrolling through channels also brings up their ADs for movies, hidden right in the middle of the 260's to 280's where I tend to watch a lot of programming. Nice to have to wade through their damn ads for movies. If you have a "client", meaning a box for the Bedroom TV (or wherever), expect to have to unplug and reboot it two or three times a week. The equipment is CRAP and I'm really sorry I bought into it. One CSR that I got on the phone admitted it was an o
-
You must not have "Genie", then. I had DTV's old equipment and good service from them for 11 years. One of the receivers died, so we "upgraded" to the latest and greatest, "Genie". NOT! The HD picture is amazing...when the damn receiver and "client" actually work. Night before last, it decided to re-boot itself right in the middle of a program we were watching.
