I say age and contact .... If you are still in contact and close, buy something. If you hear nothing from them and they are over an age where they can acknowledge on their own, stop. College age and not close? I'm sorry but we would have stopped a long time ago.

Usually some sort of fish dish for xmas eve. Shrimp or Linquine with clam sauce or ??? Ham or roast beef for xmas day. It is only the 2 of us, so we make a good meal but don't go all "fancy" and make a ton of items either.

I'm glad I'm home .... Temp is hovering right at 32 here. Doesn't look good out there at all .... Please be careful out there is you must get out. I'm not looking forward to finding out what it will be when I get up and try to go to work tomorrow morning ....

Done! Boxes are starting to arrive from others and I'm sure a lot of our stuff is arriving at those destinations. I'm just looking forward to be off from work for a couple of days.

I work with a woman who loves orange and that is the primary color she wears! I like oranges, pumpkins, yams/sweet potatoes, sunrises/sunsets, fall colors, popcicles, etc ..... Not my favorite color but don't dislike it either.

I've been reading this entire thread and I didn't get where you were coming from until the very end. I don't know what the answer is as far as how to better handle these situations, but if you have a better approach which doesn't endanger the 1st responders, then please go talk to them. good luck.
