Morning I'm off this week but have a lot of things I need to get done and errands to run. I just know I'm going to be wearing myself out! I think I'll be looking forward to going back to work next week just to get some rest ...........NOT!

I wasn't here in the 1980s, but according to the news this was the first "measurable" snowfall since 1882. Maybe "measureable" is the key word???

I think you should be fine. Temps have been rising/steady today (but below freezing), but wind has helped a bit. DH went out a couple of hours ago and said things were "fine, just watch yourself" for conditions. Seeing a lot of reports which are all saying the same thing. GOOD LUCK!

With 4 cats & 2 dogs, we have been doing the table top tree for years ...... it will come down on 1/1/11. edited to add: everything else decoration wise is down and put away til next year besides the cards and the greenery which is out on our gate. Those will put away later.

Seen some menus over the last couple of days which were huge and eleborate, even for dinner today! Tonight we are going a little "casual" and will have left overs for later Homemade Chicken Noodle soup Garlic Cheesy Biscuits Pumpkin Pie plus I'm having some white wine and cheese for an appetizer & DH is working on salsa, chips & beer All nice and toasty in the house. What about you and yours??

heard this morning that it was supposed to do this, but not with any true accumulation. we've been getting flurries for a little while now .....

well .... be careful and I'd wait a bit too. I made it down my driveway and it had a lot of slick spots (and it is flat). We have a lot of branches which over hang the driveway in spots - dry under the branches but the limbs are full of snow and are really hanging down. Road was "slick" looking. I got my newspaper

My driveway is icy. My farthest excursion will be to the end of my driveway to get the paper, that will be "tough enough" as the wind is brutal. I'm not going anywhere. wait til mid week and it will be 75% off

I see you got lots of places to check out, but I hear you should wait to buy until late January into February. Supposedly that is when a lot of manufacturers & dealers are trying to clear out. I've seen a couple of articles lately which was telling when the best times to buy items where. Let us know where you decide, I need to replace a couple of pieces of furniture. Good Luck!

thanks for the info but I have an independent scanner (from the computer) I'm going to program and want Paulding and Cobb frequencies. I'll look around that site to see if it will tell me the frequencies.

You had better be extremely careful if you think you are still going I'm hearing reports of bad roads in alabama & mississippi & tennessee. No going over Mt Eagle tonight, tomorrow or probably Monday as well.

me too .... my driveway now has a coating of white which has only happened in the last 1/2 hour (it was just wet earlier) = that tells me the cooling of all of the snow falling has been happening and with darkness & more falling temps coming, it will not be a good combination. If she does go, she goes now. Best to stay put. Tomorrow morning isn't going to be any better. (((GOODTHOUGHTSTOYOU)))
