  1. She can sign (endorse) the check and then deposit it into his bank account....or into their joint bank account.
  2. Which just goes to show the Board can't win, no matter what they do. If they build more schools, they are criticized for spending money on another building and more administration, utilities, etc. If they keep the schools as is, they're "too big".
  3. No....unless you are totally against any violence. There is little (if any) cursing, or sex. But there are several battle scenes with swords, hot oil, etc. Nothing grossly graphic and nothing I would have been concerned about when my kids were that age, but if battle scenes bother you, be warned.
  4. Will they move it indoors if it's raining?
  5. No implants here except the titanium in my hip. Interesting conversation I had with a friend a few years ago.....after watching numerous episodes of Extreme Makeover and watching the transformation consisting of hair implants, nose jobs, facelifts, breast implants/lifts, tummy tucks, liposuction, etc....we both agreed the single most important improvement was the dental work. A beautiful smile makes an amazing impression.....so. excellent choice LPPT.
  6. I think the cleaners at 92 & 278 (next to Dunkin Donuts) might be able to get it done by Monday afternoon. I take shirts up there and they always offer to have them ready the next day.
  7. I stopped the Diet Cokes three years ago....and most processed foods. I do drink tea...but plain--no sugar and no sugar substitutes. I guess I don't put the caffeine in the same category as the chemicals. It was actually not difficult. I opened a Diet Coke about a year ago, took one drink and threw the rest down the drain. All I could taste were the chemicals! I can't believe I had been putting that stuff in my body for all those years! Anyway, good luck to you! If the caffeine is not bothering you, maybe taking some Excedrin (aspirin & caffeine) would help with the headaches
  8. May I also add.......IF the high school coaches do what I hear they intend to do, the middle school boys will go to the high school feeder program they are districted to. That means the majority of South Paulding Middle School boys would be going to PCHS for football. If my son were still in middle school, I would probably go to everything--meetings at the middle school and high schools at this time--just to see what shakes down. And I can't stress enough--heard so much about schools not communicating--please get on the school websites. Find the booster club websites. contact the footb
  9. Okay. Am I the ONLY one who watched and thought the whole time, WHAT THE HECK! WHERE IS THE #$%^ SWAT TEAM AND WHAT IS TAKING THEM SO LONG????!!! I mean really???? Two hours and the killer can find everyone and even stand out in the middle of the open walkway and shoot Shepherd....and not one SWAT officer can get him??? One even shoots him in the shoulder and lets him get away! Like a bad horror movie..........."DON'T GO IN THERE STUPID GIRL!!!!!!"
  10. My son is a senior football player and my understanding is that the high school coaches---booster clubs will step in and take on "feeder teams" with the middle school football boys. This may actually be advantageous. The high school coaches will get to teach the 7th & 8th graders their "system". The middle school coaches at many of the middle schools have not been willing to adapt their programs to the high school coach's and the incoming freshmen have had to relearn everything. So.....check into this at your middle school. What school is it...and what high school is your child going
  11. I HAD to help bail Peggy from Allon Salon out today! She has to keep my hair looking HOT....but I really want to see Peggy in the stripes.......did you get one of her in the suit?????
  12. I applaud your resolve. Too many parents would not inconvenience themselves in that situation.
  13. I saw Crazy Heart a few weeks ago. The acting was excellent! If you're looking for an action film, there is not much, but it does ring true to life for what is was intended--a has-been country singer (based loosely on the lives of Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristoffersen, Willie Nelson) trying to keep the only livelihood he knows while self destructing. I guess the story line is not a feel-good kind of thing, but the acting was superb.
  14. Wish we had a LIKE button
  15. BBaaaaaWaaaaaaaaHaaaaaa I actually had one of them faxed in today. It's got your name written all over it!
  16. I am quite aware of the differences in deductions and credits. And you would be surprised at the number of people paying over $20000 in mortgage interest who earn well under the income of couple #1. Where have you been the past decade? With the easy credit, second mortgages, equity lines......and now rampant unemployement, .....you would be surprised. The amount was just thrown out there. The point was, there are many very well off people who pay NO state tax and get a LOW INCOME CREDIT while others who have much less income not only don't get a credit, they owe GA tax on FAR less incom
  17. Pubby, this "low income credit" was a waste and poorly utilized in my opinion. Let me explain: Couple 1 --ages 66 & 67 make $70000 annually in pensions and interest income. they also earn $25000 in Social Security. Do you realize on the Georgia tax return every penny of their earnings are exempt from tax? Georgia gives up to $35000 per taxpayer exemption on retirement/investment earnings plus full exemption of Social Security (if you are 65 or older). So Couple 1 shows zero income and actually gets a $20 "low income credit"!!!!!! Couple 2 are 30 year olds with a couple kids and $
  18. That is good to know. Thanks for letting us parents in on the facts!
  19. Hi T! One more week of "catch up".......then I can come out and play
