Praying for your family.

I think each place might be different. When I worked for Cobb hiring police officers/911 etc, we required that they go back 7 years on employment. We wanted to know what they did the the last 7 years. If they were unemployed or in college we wanted them to list that too. As far as the involuntary departure, we would require that, but had no way of checking into it if the person didn't list it. But there was always ways to find out like asking some of your other employeers, friends, family, references you list. Not listing a job that ended this way would be a diqualifier for Cobb and

Karma is so sweet in this situation. I knew her when she worked in 911. After Glenn died they had her working as a secretary in 911 because she was upset or acting upset or so she wouldn't have to deal with 911 calls. I really don't know. I was subbing in the Chief's office. That's when I met her. I felt sorry for her loosing her husband so young. I met her in the hall one day and told her I was sorry for her loss and if she needed to talk we could do lunch one day. I am soooooo glad we never went to lunch and/or talked...I would have been called into court. I didn't know the real her.

I have a question re: Cobb PD
Mrs. Jack Russell replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Original question about the STEP units has been answered. If you have more questions I or Flossy can answer them. I worked in STEP as a Secretary until I married my STEP officer husband. Stupid Nepotism. -
I am so proud of you Shan! I wish I could have been there. The few pictures I have seen were great. You were beautiful and so were your daughters. Brian wasn't so bad looking either. Call me when you have time.

My church just had one a couple of weeks ago. It was so successful that we are going to have another one in October or early November. You can send me a pm with your email if you are interested in info. The date has not been decided yet. I also have info for one at a church in Powder Srings too via an email I got yesterday. I can send you that info too. The Cobb County FOPA (Fraternal Order of Police Auxilary) has had 2 yard sale/craft shows this year and I was very successful at both of them. They are going to have another one, but the date has not been decided yet. They have thier

When we (Twinsister and I) were little, if one of caught something she would make sure the other caught it so that we could get it over with. It worked with everything, but the mumps. This was a hundred years ago and with only 2 kids, but I think it was smart on her part to get the other one of us exposed to it and get it over with. Isn't there a shot now for chicken pox?

Just for fun- What was your first paying job?
Mrs. Jack Russell replied to jennilyn77's topic in RECENT TOPICS
If you worked there in 1974 my twin sister and I worked for 411. It was on a different floor of the building. We brought home $100.00 a week and that money went a long way back then. My MIL was a long distance operator the same time I was. We don't remember seeing each other there, but we worked the same time. Nevermind my last statement. We started work in 1974. We worked there 6 month until they layed us off. They started charging for 411 and the calls dropped down drastically. -

Twinsister and I were too. It was in 1974. We worked right off the square in Marietta. Could we have known each other back then? -

My niece was all the time saying funny stuff when she is little. I started writing them down. I ended up with a steno type note book of her sayings. I gave it to her at her baby shower. She always knew that I had a notebook of her sayings, but it turned out to be an awesome gift to her. All you Mama's need to take time to write these down to give to your little ones. -
Flossy, I agree with weatherboy. Light House Food Ministry. If you need info on this let me know. Great people. I know you will love them. My sister and I plan to volenteer here.

My sister is going to be 11Alive's 1st FB Friend
Mrs. Jack Russell replied to Mrs. Jack Russell's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Yes they showed it about 6:20. It actually was her 20 seconds of fame. LOL On the news they showed a picture of her grandson and on the website it has a picture of her, Mama, her daughter and grandson. -
Twinsister responded to a post from 11Alive on FB about their FB friends and she was chosen to be the first. Her FB page will be featured on the 6AM news today. I guess they will show the picture and hopefully not all the content. She is excited about her 1 minute of fame. If you are up check it out. Also her picture will be on their website later today. She put a 4 generation picture on her page from them. It's her, Mama, her daughter and grandson.

I think the price is $8.00 or $8.50. It is every Saturday and Sunday from whenever they open to about 1PM, I think. I don't know when they open, sorry. Let me tell you about this place: My husband and I heard about this place thru friends and went to try it out. We are so tired of the same resturants with the same things on the menu, but never knowing how they taste because the cook is different each time we go. We are now regular customers. Billy is the owner/chef. He is so friendly especially when he has time away from the kitchen. He will cook to order anything on his menu the
