  1. My Dad never did that, but he did run the thatcher (?). He was/is a little obsessed with his lawn, like Hank Hill.
  2. Here's a list: http://spotsociety.org/spay_neuter_list.html I've used the Dept of Ag certificate at my regular vet. Participating vets get only so many at the beginning of the month, so call first thing. I also used a Spay GA certificate at a vet closer to my house. You have to call or email your name and address, and they will mail a form (to fill out and return with payment), and use a vet on their list. http://www.spaygeorgia.org/
  3. I'm a ninja assassin and zombie killer.
  4. Now add Jesus Camp, Lord Save Us From Your Followers, Deliver Us From Evil...
  5. Exactly why I never liked it. Now, Golden Grahams....
  6. Well, there was that silly class in middle school, if you want to count that. It was more of a reproductive overview, and I don't remember anything about contraceptives. I knew about them, but thought we were invincible, I guess.
  7. I got pregnant at 16. My Dad had no clue until we were in the ER as I was miscarrying. We were solidly middle class, and I was in the "gifted" classes early on. I had very limited sex education, and no talking about it with my Dad. He proceeded to threaten to send my boyfriend to jail, but relented. He did take away my car and phone (from my room - no cell phones back then), and didn't allow me to go anywhere but school and work. I moved out 6 months later when I turned 17. Happily married now for 20 years (well, it will be in June). (NO KIDS!!!!!) I don't think I thought about it,
  8. Dumb, useless, antiquated, blah. ETA: I don't like it to be daylight when I go to work. Luckily I get there so early it usually doesn't matter (unless I'm running late).
  9. Coming in April, Tricycling Toddler Terror!!!11!!!one!!! In a world where toddlers are deadly....
  10. You want to take this outside? Come at me, bro.
  11. I listened to it in the background today while doing other stuff. Sheen on AA: They say let go of your resentments. I say hang on onto those resentments. Let them be the rocket fuel that lives in the tip of your saber. DUH. Winning.
  12. I forgot running shoes and good shampoo and conditioner. I finally decided last year to go to Big Peach Running Company to have them analyze my gait while running, and I had it all wrong. I thought I had flat feet and overpronation, but I actually have very high arches and a neutral gait. I got some good running shoes (Mizuno) that suited my feet, and luckily they didn't cost more than they would at a regular sporting goods store (and I was under no obligation to purchase there). And I've been through a lot of higher end hair stuffs, but currently I'm using J Beverly Hills (Taming). So
  13. Gym membership (Krav Maga classes, and more recently personal training), massages monthly, good beer on occasion. I tried to go without massages, and ended up not being able to turn my head. I kept up with the chiropractor, but it wasn't enough. Luckily I get an excellent deal with a massage therapist I've seen for years now. And the gym membership/classes are non-negotiable. The stress release alone is worth it. Bail would be much more expensive.
  14. I'm allergic to many things year round (dust mites, mold, cats), too, and was on Zyrtec and Flonase nonstop before the allergy shots. Now I only take Zyrtec as needed, and I was down to half dose Flonase before the sinus infection. (I should have gone back to half after I got better.) ETA: I use about a half teaspoon sea salt in my neti pot.
  15. I have only had headaches so far. Started the Zyrtec to get ahead of it, hopefully. Gotta dig out the neti pot, too. I have a list of what I am allergic to, and try to watch pollen.com, weather.com, etc. to see what is producing now. I've been getting allergy shots for about 3 years, too. They have helped a lot. I would get sick every year in spring and sometimes fall. I didn't get sick for a while until this past December when I got a sinus infection.
  16. I also have asthma and allergies, so I can't open my windows anyway. But we have a neighbor who burns trash, and that is much worse than leaves and brush. Even with the windows closed, the smell gets in the house.
  17. I think I'm pretty much the same here as IRL. I did have someone from here meet me and say didn't think I'd be so "animated," or something like that. (I think I got on a rant about something.) I'm kind of quiet, until I get to know you, or until I get mad.
  18. I've got trash-burning, burnout making, screaming, tax return blowing neighbors that I consider to be more white trash than redneck. A POS is a POS, redneck or not.
  19. I just ran out. Here are the prices for a box of side tear duplicate checks: Checks Unlimited - 23.99 Designer Checks - 21.59 Current - 12.99 Checks In The Mail - 16.99 Vistaprint didn't seem to have side tear checks.
  20. Same here. The vision problems were scary, especially while driving! I wore them to work and had no backup, but still had to drive 26 miles home. Good thing I didn't pay for them. There are some terrible reviews out there.
