Wow! What a week your family has had!! Congratulations on that precious baby boy! You have all been in my prayers and I am glad that everything turned out perfectly! He would have been a VERY BIG baby if he had been born on time...kinda makes me wonder if the Dr.'s had the due date wrong. That would have been GREAT surprise for me because the last month of my pregnancy was the longest month of my entire life! Can't wait to see pictures of the little guy!

Your home is gorgeous! And I absolutely LOVE the outside; the yard and the pool! Congratulations! I can't wait to see more pictures as the remodeling progresses!

I don't know. My husband insists that it isn't safe for me to be without a cell phone...I think they're the biggest waste of money ever (because if I happen to think to take it w/ me when I leave home, the battery is usually dead or I forget to turn it on) and I really can't see a good reason to spend money on ringtones. That said, I came home last Friday to find a package on the front porch and another package in the mailbox. I opened the one from the mailbox first and there was a purple phone cover....I opened the package from the porch and there was an Iphone! I called my husband and as

If you do decide to get your money back, try Bagwell Furniture. It's my family's business and they have high quality furniture that won't fall apart after a few years. My husband and I have my grandparent's bedroom suite that they bought from Bagwell Furn. in the 80's and it's in perfect condition still!

I have no idea what kind of mop I use but the cleaner that I use is amazing!! My parents have had laminate floors for years and they've always had to dry them with towels after mopping so when my husband and I put down laminate floors, I did the same. I'd mop and then dry with towels. If the floors aren't dried with towels, when they do dry, there are streaks all over the place and it just doesn't look as clean. However, I came across the Mr. Clean Lavender Vanilla and Comfort (with Febreeze) mopping solution and decided to try it out and finally, we no longer have to dry our floors on our

Young child hit by a car this evening on 120

I pray this child is okay and that other children will learn from this horrific accident. I also pray that the woman who hit him is able to recover from this. I cannot imagine how she must have felt. On another note...my mom never made me feel like she hovered but that's because she did it in her own secretive way. She would drop me off at the movie theater and before I got out of the car she would threaten my life if I even THOUGHT about going out of the building. All those years I believed that I was being left there alone and I felt really "big". Once I was grown she told me that she' -
Tell me about your first "place"

I stayed home until I married my husband, though my mom and dad really wanted me to live on my own before getting married. Anyway, most of my family lives on the same road in Hiram and my great aunt had always said that she wanted me and my husband to live in her house when she passed away. She passed away a little over a year before my husband and I married and so we went in and put down new carpet, new floors, and painted (the house was built in the late 60's/early 70's but was decorated like the 80's). Here's where it gets interesting. I'd never had a place that I could paint ANY color -
Today I was going East on 278 and there was a black SUV that was all over the road. The light @ Buchannan Hwy. turned red (thank goodness!) and the person in front of the black SUV jumped out of his truck to check on the lady driving. I called 911 and they said that they'd already received several calls and someone should be there shortly. My daughter wasn't with me so I pulled to the side of 278 and got out to check on her, along with five or six other people. There was an off duty deputy talking to her and another lady was asking her questions. I didn't think the driver of the SUV was i

Thank God! That is wonderful news and I know her parents have to feel some relief. I feel so bad for that precious little baby that she cries when she sees her mommy...and for her mommy who can't make it all better for her right now. Prayers will continue for Anna and for her parents! Thank you for the update, Webstermom.

I'm also in Yorkville and it was snowing really hard about 30 minutes ago. Thank GOD it's not gonna stick! I am beyond over this weather. I'm ready for sunshine, birds chirping, and at least 60 degree weather!

My family owns Bagwell Furniture in Mableton. They have great prices on quality furniture. As a matter of fact, the bedroom suite that my husband and I have came from Bagwell and belonged to my grandparents. They bought it nearly 30 years ago and it is still in perfect condition. I would recommend that she at least go look around and compare prices and quality. Here's their website: http://www.wendybagwellfurniture.com/default.html

The roads may be fine but the porch steps are NOT! Be careful in the morning when you're running out to get the paper. I almost busted it tonight and that would have hurt!

I read that someone suggested powder so I wanted to let you know that if your nurses are anything like mine were, they will crawl you for using powder on your baby. They tried to take mine away from me. If you're going to use powder, buy Ammons powder. Not every store carries it, but I know Walmart does and it's not easy to find there. It's usually on the bottom shelf, either w/ reg. powder or w/ the baby stuff. Also, at one of my last appointments before having my daughter, I asked my OB what the best thing was for diaper rash and I was surprised when she said "jock itch cream" (anti-fu

I was just pitying you for having three sick babies....can you imagine having 19 sick babies?!?! OMG!
-
Not yet but I know there's a stomach virus going around and it spreads fast! My mother in law got sick the day after Christmas, and everyone who was there ended up with it. My father in law got it last and didn't get over it until last Sunday. It's the only year we've not been able to go to her house on Christmas day. It's also the one time I am really glad we weren't able to make it to her house for Christmas. Hope your babies get better fast! Having one sick child is hard on the parents, so I can't imagine how hard it is to have three sick babies.

My prayers are with the parents and family of this beautiful baby girl. My heart aches for them and I am so very sorry for their loss.
