  1. That would be Sam Elrod, Elrod's Nursery in Dallas. Thanks!!
  2. I believe it is hosted by the Civitans and Rotary Club. Try searching one of those groups and see if there is anything on the web site.
  3. I have to be in Atlanta at 8:00 am Saturday, won't be able to stay late if we do. Since I don't eat oysters, I have no clue how to help you
  4. Do you need them today?? Dang brother!!
  5. Wasn't it Queenebayduck or something like that???
  6. Maybe this is why they have waited so long to bury him?? First time in years he's not using. (sorry couldn't resist)
  7. Wishing a speedy recovery, keep us posted on that BP thing.

  9. Yeah!!!! We finally found Tonto. Does he really ride bareback??? Welcome Tonto!!!
  10. Dang, glad you busted loose. Was there anyone else down there we might know???
  11. Yep, just put me in that category. Wonder if we'll be worth 3500 or 4500??
  12. Meatloaf, just meatloaf. Nothing else. If they want something else they can cook it. I'm tired after 18 quarts of tomatoes, 4 quarts of Salsa, 3 quarts of tomato juice, 9 pints of sliced jalepenos, and 9 pints of fig preserves..............I need to go to work so I can rest.
  13. Nope, not last night but they are open now!! My thermometer said it was 57 here in Yorkville.
  14. He was out front playing. We have many native Maypops (passion flower/passiflora) that are a host plant for the Gulf Fritillary butterfly, he actually got to see one come out of it's chrysalis and spread it's wings to dry. He was so excited. We actually found another chrysalis and put it in his bug box so he could watch it "hatch" as well.
  15. I always tell the Grandson Santa is always watching. When he sees "Santa" he is always on his best behavior.
  16. I think you have it about right, but you forgot the TP!!! We might have a second run on bread, milk and TP some time around mid March. On a more serious note, I have noticed that the squirrels and racoons are gathering every bit of food they can find. They have been more of a nuisance this year than ever before. They have been busy, busy, busy. I'm not sure what that means, but we lost our entire crop of corn so I am not a happy gardner.
  17. Congrats!!! Dang when we bought our house 15 years ago, we had to have a minimum of 10% down. The 10% had to be in the bank, you couldn't borrow it from anyone or anywhere. The mortgage companies would do no more than and 90% loan. We rented for a long time and saved as much as we could. Good luck and please just a motherly word of advice, it they say you qualify for a 250,000.00 house, don't just look at those. Start small and in a couple of years you can move up. In other words, don't bite off more than you can chew. (sorry to all the real estate peeps here but I gotta say it)
  18. I guess this is the American version of Goulash. I actually learned how to cook Hugarian Goulash in high school. It was wonderful. I think this is the name our mama's gave to this tomato and meat dish to get us to eat it. It was fun to say. Here are the ingredients for American Goulash from cdkitchens
  19. Another member that can't post right now asked me to give you this message............you haven't met him yet
  20. I use tomato sauce, a little garlic and salt and pepper. Nothing like spaghetti sauce LOL
  21. It was great meeting you as well, and now you are my new best friend............that was my daughter. (She is great!!)
  22. I don't know where to start, it could take all day. To those of you that know me and those I haven't yet met, Have a wonderful day!!
  23. Hey, I was late........since Tess didn't make it someone had to be. Great group of folks, it was good to see everyone and meet new people, too. We need to do it again soon!!
