  3. I have to say there are a couple of people on this board in know IRL, they are my friends and were before Pcom but we see things differently. I still want to be friends with them, makes a great relationship when they can let me see things from a different perspective. There are others I have never met that see things differently and we sometimes spat but I would never judge them solely on what they post here. But I will say I have met some wonderful people here and I am glad to now call them friend Now I do know there are one to two that just don't like me based on what I p
  4. OK, I have sparred and disputed with some, had lots of good conversations even if we didn't agree. But I just cannot say I don't like someone because of what they posted here. I know a few that like to just put an opposing view out there (doesn't mean they really believe it) for the sake of discussion. But I see so many people taking things personally, it puzzles me.
  5. Campfire Stew is really easy as well, goes great with cornbread made in the dutch oven (or a box oven). But crackers will work, too. We use ground beef, onions, tomatoes and mixed vegtables (salt and pepper to taste). Add water and let it simmer for a couple of hours. You can add only the veggies you like or mix them up. I didn't put quantities because I'm not sure how to measure for just two people.
  6. Kinda like being in a dorm. Most of my recipes feed a small army. There is almost nothing you can't prepare on a coleman stove that you can't prepare at home. Just buy the things you would normally buy and go for it. Silver Turtles, are quick and easy, absolutely no clean up. Dutch oven cooking is yummy. This is one of my favorites because I really like Italian food. I use real ricotta but some prefer cottage cheese. I also make my own spaghetti sauce and freeze it with the ground meat already in it.
  7. Sounds like sleep deprivation is getting to you  Just go sleep with the baby and see how hubby likes being alone.
  8. Welcome back, I have no desire to ever go back to PCB. Congrats on the anniversary!!
  9. Hey girl, missed your bday completely.(sorry) Mom and Dad decided they would bring another truck load from Wisconsin that Friday, we spent the entire weekend unpacking, again. We're good, shrimp and oysters sound good, too. Let me know.
  10. Yay, they made it home before the storm!!
  11. Thank goodness he's on the ground, looks like it will be a long ride home from the airport though.
  12. Thanks!! I think they got it started, but this is good info for next time.................he has run out of gas more than anyone I have ever known. He doesn't like to stop and fill up, he's always in a hurry!!
  13. Ok that's the second time today you addressed me and know my hubby's name I think I know who this is, is there a nice unused fire pit in your back yard? Yep, he used diesel, this time..............that's another story for a different day LOL Madea (wherever you are), don't worry my hubby keeps your hubby's work busy.
  14. Hubby ran his diesel truck out of gas (again)!! He's put gas in it and trying to get it to start, any tricks he can use before the storms hit??
  15. It's a scam, saw this on WSB this weekend. Don't do it!!!! They give you a check to cash for a lot more than the $200.00 and you are supposed to bring them the difference, the check, money orders what ever they are using are no good!! You get stuck for the entire amount of the check.
  16. LOL, his gourmet skills were used to serve camp staff at a camporee once. All I can say is yummy!!!
