Call Paulding Networking 770-443-1520. They are commerce members here, they can order one, custom build it or steer you in the right direction. They are all young and have recently needed laptops for college themselves. They should know what you will really need. The plus side is they will know your machine and will be able to service it any time you may need it.

Take my advice, make sure you get seasoned wood. The last we got from the guy on Ridge Road was green, green, green. It takes forever to burn. Not what you want on a camping trip. The stuff you get at Kroger or Home Depot is also green. Find someone that has wood that was spilt a while ago or you will just get a lot of smoke and aggravation. I was very disappointed. It was all hard wood but not seasoned at all. There is a tree service on Goldmine Road that has some great wood. There is a sign out at the end of the driveway going toward Dallas (on the left). I'll see if I can g

Is the MSM trying to report the recession away?
Cathyhelms replied to Cathyhelms's topic in RECENT TOPICS
All White House Administrations want to report the good stuff. The difference is the MSM goes out of the way to report the bad things about people that are not their choice while it's all honey and roses when it's someone they like. -
Is the MSM trying to report the recession away?
Cathyhelms replied to Cathyhelms's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Ummm, this is not about the past administration. This is about lack of truth in reporting by the MSM, not what the White House has to say. We all know how much they lie, the MSM used to keep them in check. -
Is the MSM trying to report the recession away?

But there are enough people that do believe what they hear. Amazing how much control the media has over things. Personally I think the level of journalism is at an all time low. Everyone is so worried about getting the story first, they have lost all responsibility in reporting the truth. There is absolutely no honor in journalism any more. And to think...............that is what I thought I wanted to do with my life. -
Is the MSM trying to report the recession away?

Thanks for the great info, as usual MrsH. -
I totally disagree with this statement, where did you get the impression two-thirds of $ are spent in the last two weeks of life?? My mom is 77, a diabetic and has COPD. In February, she spent 10 days in the hospital because of a collasped lung. After treatment and amazing meds, she is walking, talking and doing things she hasn't done in years. Maybe it doesn't matter to you but under this new plan, she would not have the treatment options they used. Even if we only keep her two or three more years, I'll take them. I kinda like having my mom around, guess we would have just had to

Is the MSM trying to report the recession away?
Cathyhelms replied to Cathyhelms's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Nope, Diane Sawyer had a couple of people on there that clearly said the recession is over. She smiled at the end of the segment and said she was pleased with how things are going. I think that show is the most ridiculous program in the a.m. They are so biased it's disgusting. I don't usually watch GMA but the TV was on that channel when I turned it on and went to make coffee. -
Watching GMA (was just on when I woke up this am), it appears Diane Sawyer is saying the recession is over and things are getting better. Is this true or is this more manipulation by the MSM to get what they want, to make something look like it's working when clearly it's questionable?? Is less of a drop in home sales this month an indicator of recovery or does it indicate foclosures are bottoming out? Is less people applying for unemployment a sign of recovery or is it most companies are running skeleton crews already?? Could furloughs or scheduled 4 day work weeks be keeping people o

Good luck with the Hogan crew, maybe the subcontractors will get paid, but they probably won't. Look for thousands of $ in overruns and a shoddy job. No one wants to work with that GC. -
Consumer contracts that include binding arbitration under attack
Cathyhelms replied to gpatt0n's topic in RECENT TOPICS
No, it's very hard when most everyone else is not being honest. A man's word in just not as good as it once was. We have living examples of that daily. This is just not a consumer issue, as a subcontractor we are forced to sign contracts with binding arbitration every day. I see trial lawyers like John Edwards jumping up and down with joy!! They now will have the opportunity to cheat the consumer instead of the product manufacturer doing it. In the long run, the only one that will benefit from this are the trial lawyers. The consumer will pay $$$$$$ for representation from those g -

Just my .02 here. While the behavior is definitely wrong and there should be some punishment, the bigger deal you make of it, the more he will focus on this. Just for the record, I don't agree with Tulip at all.......................kids in general need specific guidelines. Slumber Parties, Babe Cake and Psychomom have some great words of wisdom here as do many others. Consistency is the key in dicipline, you have to stay with what ever you do. You can't let it slide one time, and punish the next. You can't use lemon juice one time and hot sauce the next. It has to be the sa

How very nice of you, I gave the links but it never occured to me that I could order them for her. I'll split it with ya. I'll order mine today as well. If they don't need that many small ones, maybe I can get a few larger ones if they need them. -
Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song, and I'll try not to sing out of key. Love the Beatles!!
