Soft blues and mint green are calming colors, who says girls have to have pink?? I'm thinking an underwater theme to bring in those blues and greens, perhaps some mermaid (not the little mermaid) stuff. And some waves painted with some white caps. Some dolphins and whales would be good too. What about an easel for painting while listening to that classical music??? And don't forget about lots of natural daylight, that should help with the melatonin issue.

But what about the lids?? Where can I get the new ones? I guess I could use wax???Off to get some honey bees, time to be a beekeeper. Honey would be good for survival, too.

Yay!! Good, caring people still live among us.

I have the skills and the knowledge, so do my children. Scouting has played a huge role in our lives, wilderness survival is required for rank. Of course the boys only have to prepare for a weekend or maybe even one overnight but they are taught the skills. Without electricity, long term storage for most things is out of the question. Having a garden with 70 tomato plants isn't going to do me any good if I don't know how to preserve them other than canning.

We always use our alarm system, too. Always!! When we leave, when we sleep, when we just run to the store for something quickly. It's just second nature to arm that thing when we leave. Motion detectors on all levels and cameras. My out of town family sometimes feels "trapped" when they come to visit, but they're safe.

I'm thinking some way to listen to classical music, Mozart, Bach, Beethovan, etc. Softness all around, soft calming colors, pillows and blankets. Comfortable, fluffy stuff.

We had a traditional pancakes and egg sandwiches with link sausage, home grown honey dew melon and coffee.

Kill them, send in the robots and take out who ever needs to be eliminated, but never, ever consider................................................................. water boarding them, never.ever!!!

Nor do they give up their constitutional rights when they leave the country. I believe there are two Americans that have been killed. This is the problem with using drones, you don't really know who/what it's taking out. At least Saddam Hussien was captured, sent to trial and then put to death. Well, all I can say is if you want a place to park and somewhere to sit on the home side, I sure wouldn't get there at 6:30, 5:30 would be more like it.

I've never dried stevia leaves but I have dried many others, parsley, sage, thyme, rosemary and do them all pretty much the same way. I dry then in the sun then just store them in jars until needed. I would think the same would work for any leafy plant. Hey I need to reword that to parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme!!

Wow, great to hear from you. Sounds like you've had quite an experience!! Good to see you back an posting. It's been a long hot summer in Georgia, fall has been pretty nice so far. Not looking forward to winter but we will endure. Welcome back!!!

Little by little the government is taking away rights. Making us to conform to a specific standard. We really need to stop and think about this, is this truly about uniforms, religion or the government using something else to make us "see". My heart aches for you, I don't know what to say that might help. But here goes............ (deep breath) While we pass from this earth, do we really ever leave?? Ok, riddle me this. If this truly is about school uniforms and a Muslim woman must cover herself from head to toe, would everyone in the school have to do the same?? Would the uniform have to be designed to include "all"?? Perhaps this is another one of those "messages" that has more than one meaning, we've had threads about that as well.
