Gold is at $1,820.00 per ounce!! -

People use their WIC vouchers and/or EBT cards to buy formula then resell it for the cash. (So they can get their nails done. lol)

LOL, I've never heard that expression before, I like it!! National Pathetic Radio, has a familiar ring to it.

I'm sorry DC red, but there are many, many government programs available for these kids. This again is just fear mongering, using the children as a scare tactic. These kids are in school, school lunches are nutritious and are available year 'round in most places. You don't have to have zero income to qualify for assistance.

I'm voting for you..............there's still time to jump in the Presidential Race.
-
While I understand what you are trying to say, please understand this is one person's view. Believe me I would rather be back at full force with our employees. Don't believe everything you hear/read. It seems the fear mongering is driving many people to do drastic things, employers and employees. It's coming from every direction.

Don't fret about it mrnn, they'll get it back and then some. As I said UE taxes both fed and state will see huge increases again this year. You need to stop and think about companies that have million dollar payrolls. Lets say there are 500 of them, each paying 8% in UE tax, if the rates go up again the shortfall will be paid back in no time. This really hurts small and medium sized companies. It's not as you have pictured in your mind, they will get their money from the companies that are left, those that haven't shut their doors yet.
-
Yes I know that, come January I'd be willing to bet on another huge increase in the employer tax rate.
-
Yep, if I we didn't have to pay for UE, we would have more $ available to pay our employees. BTW, in the last two years our State UE has gone from 0.67% to 7.9%.
-
Yep, he paid the employee for his time, it's called compensation.............the employer is 100% responsible for paying Unemployment Tax, Federal and State. It doesn't cost the employee one red cent. It is a big freebie!! UE is just one liability the employer has to pay, our labor burden is somewhere between 27 and 30 cents per dollar paid. Yep it's a freebie!! PS, if I don't pay for another employee, I don't have to pay UE tax on them either.
-
Um, you don't pay in to Unemployment mrnn unless you are an employer.
-
:clapping: You get it!! :yahoo: But then again, I had no doubt.

Hope you are safe and enjoying the experience. If you tell us when you're going to be there, perhaps we can catch you on the live cam. Don't forget to smile and wave to us. -
News Flash, if a company is making money it belongs to the owners.............they can do with it exactly what they want.

This whole thread reminds me of Barney Fife and Gomer (or was it Goober?) Citizens Arrest, Citizens Arrest!! -
It's the existing small grocery store down from the courthouse about two blocks. It had been closed for some time and they are remodeling it. Looks like they are getting ready to re-open.

You said it so well, Mark. And yes Jessica that is what I meant, we should all have the same human rights.
-
What I mean is would it be on the front page of all those news papers?? If there were no laws about this, people could do what they want, when they want. It would be a non-issue if everyone could just worry about their business instead of someone else's. Would most christian churches acknowledge the marriage, probably not but it wouldn't matter to anyone but them. Catholic churches do not recognize marriages outside their church even between heterosexuals. (or they didn't when I married my first husband) I got married for the exact same reasons you would Mark, love, security and comp

17 years in Yorkville for me. I too love it here, just praying the theives don't migrate over this way. Our alarm system and little 50 lb doggie might keep them at bay for a while.
-
Well, most of those laws have been on the books for years. If we spent time researching this I'd bet we would be surprised at what we find about how these laws came to be. I assure you I'm not looking to add any more laws regarding this. I believe they should indeed be stricken from every state and federal law. I sometimes wonder if there were no tax breaks for being married or having children, would this even be an issue.

Their tanks weren't up to code and it was going to cost more to upgrade than to just shut down. I'm surprised they lasted this long.
-
Thoughts you make a valid point. What I was trying to say is that a Union is just that. It matters not what "church" you "marry" in. Marriages are defined by most Christians as between a man and a woman. I guess what I should have said is Christian Marriages belong in Church.

The cowhorn and cayenne will dry nicely. I put mine on a screen on the deck and cover them with cheese cloth. When I want to use them I either let them sit in hot water for a while or just break them up and drop them in what ever I'm cooking. You can add them (after you have reconstituted them) to some tomatoes in the blender for salsa. They are just as good as when you picked them. I didn't grow any cayenne's this year because I have about a gallon that I dried still left from last year.

Well that's not what Wiki gave me when I searched flat tax. My link
