No just taking pictures should not arouse suspicion, however, taking pictures, having a car with invalid plates and the Patriot Act to protect them, I think law enforcement did the right thing, no matter his heritage.
-
Awww, come on. It's OK to feel differently about this. It's also OK to be suspicious of everyone on this day. Black, white, pink, purple, Aisian, Mid Eastern, Hispanic. Does it really matter in the end. On a day like today, everything should be questioned. Nothing should be taken for granted, that's exactly why 9/11 happened the way it did. Just like going to Kroger at 1:00 am, you should be aware of your surroundings. 9/11 woke a rather non-nonchalant America and gave us the opportunity to realize freedom really isn't free. The price is great, the compassion is unending. I miss

Thanks Laurie but Wade had a schedule conflict and won't be able to make it. We had someone ask if they could fill in, he's a friend of the Sound Guy so it should be a good performance. Maybe not as good as Wade but a good time. I'm so looking forward to the flag retirement, it's going to be amazing.

It was rather cool this morning, not a lot of folks till it warmed up around noon...........then it was packed. We had one vendor actually sell out of product, they were from Alabama and couldn't even get more. They went home today at the end of the day. Lots of good feedback!! And yes, surepip, your granddaughter is beautiful!! Looks a lot like her grandma!! or should I say, Abuela.

You can drop it off at the hospitality booth, we'll make sure they get to them. They probably won't retire those this time but will at a future date, I know they already have several.

I know, I know Tahoe, the millage rate didn't drop, and my property values didn't go down enough to offset the millage rate increase but property values did go down again. -
I think Mark's article said there were arrests, 3 at the time and 16 later.

The festival actually starts at 9:00am on Saturday. Saturday all day is very busy, Sunday morning is slower and Sunday after church is packed.

By preventing the grain from being transported, they are keeping others from working. Your link is a little more frightening Markdavd. Wow!! This is Union against Union.

OK, I'm talking to myself but if you've never seen a flag retirement, it is an awesome ceremony. Gives a better understanding and new meaning to our American Flag.

:clapping: Thank you for sharing, and thanks for doing all the right things. In the grand scheme of things you're the one that matters, the one that makes a difference, the one that shows it's worth it.
-
Isn't that the truth!! Thank you for sharing!! Yep, I'm tired of working my butt off so folks can have free stuff.

Thoughts, I'm with you. However, I think we've been down and out before. Perhaps those memories are what drives the fear. BTW, looks like the sun is trying to shine............I'm going to enjoy this day no matter what!!
-
Life is hard, when the sun doesn't shine we tend to reflect on the things that worry us. Times are tough for so many and while we need rain for rainbows, sunshine tends to help us leave the bad places for a while. I've been through some tough times in my life but can't remember when it scared me this much. Perhaps this is the beginning of better things.
-
Yes, Thank you!! And thank you for remembering, always!! I will never forget!!
-
No way!! I'll be under several blankets though.
