  1. Nice pic!! You have a lovely family, poor little daughter with all those brothers. lol I'm sure she can hold her own.
  2. Have you really looked at the map?? Have you looked to see who owns the property surrounding a big portion of the red/blue corridor?? You really want Jerry to profit even more from the property he's already raped in Paulding?? Seriously, you need to do a little more research before you jump all over this. Private investors have private bank accounts.
  3. You wouldn't be talking about emissions now would you?? I'm thinking Jerry is getting ready to sell some of that property to the "private investors" and will spend some extra time at his abode in South Florida. I could be wrong but it appears we haven't heard a lot about this, seems like the regime is stacking the buyers and sellers again. Someone is going to make a lot of $ from this and I assure you it won't be us deerslayer. The more things change the more they remain the same.
  4. Sorry Laurie, I haven't seen the quality of life improve. I've lived here for 28 years, didn't even have to lock my car then. The last 15 years have brought more crime, more problems and wayyyy too much retail not to mention the increase in taxes, overbuilding, too many schools and entirely too much traffic. I drove to Atlanta every day, I did the commute so I could come back to my little corner in the woods. Nope, I'm not happy with the "progress" we have endured. I still live on a gravel road.
  5. Well, since the blue line and the red line are pretty close to the same route, just omitting Carrollton, I wouldn't rule out the Shearin property. I think you might be surprised by who might benefit the most.
  6. Send an email, you will get a reply. Not sure about the phone but I think it's only an answering machine, a real person never answers it, the messages don't always get checked daily. All officers and directors of Paulding Meadows are volunteers. There are two emails available on the web site. http://pauldingfestivalsinc.org/
  7. I think the blue line is out, it was the original route through Carrollton, which they voted against. The red line takes it out of Carrollton but connects to the blue line on the Northern end, so yes you are still right about it coming close to Jerry. The Yellow line is the alternate if the red doesn't pan out. At least that's the way I understand it.
  8. So the state will use eminent domain for a private funded project and you see nothing wrong with this??? What will this cost the taxpayers of Paulding County... nothing?? Where have I heard that before.
  9. Did you try Control - to reduce the size of the screen??? Hold down control and tap -
  10. Thank you for articulating what needed to be said about this. I agree it's business as usual, little or no input from the people that actually live here. I should think the people of Paulding being behind a project would be a plus.
  11. Since I moved to Yorkville to escape all the traffic and people I am completely against this. Since Surepip and those that live on the East side of the county seem to support this, I say put it over there. I don't want a toll road in my back yard. I wonder if it would garner the same support if it came within a mile of David Austin's house.
  12. Congrats LTD!! It won't take you long until you're doing something else. You don't strike me as the type that will just stay home and watch the grass grow!!
  13. I personally think the disbanding of Occupy Atlanta was handled well. Kudos to the officers and the protesters that insisted on getting arrested. It was a non-violent event. Now my opinion on the whole Occupy thing. Our Constitution allows us the right to peacefully assemble, we have freedom of speech but no where does the constitution allow anyone to break laws. Camping in Woodruff Park is not allowed, I think Kasim Reed was being fair and generous when he said they could stay til November 7, the city of Atlanta provided and paid for port-a-potties and security. Then they decided t
  14. You can always do the corn maze at Carlton Farms in Rockmart. No, it's not as scary but it sure is a lot more affordable.
  15. Well it appears I have used up all my + for the day. I don't think I - anyone. Well maybe one today. LOL
  16. Just make sure you keep your mouth shut!! LOL
  17. We have them in Yorkville, by the thousands!! Here's the link about what they are. Lablab bugs
