Serious questions about Swine Flu vs. Seasonal Flu

Go back and look at Surepip's very factual and scientific based information on the swine flu. The biggest concern about the swine flu is that it is affecting folks that are healthy and have normal or outstanding lung function. The flu is taking up residence in the lower part of the lungs. This is a HUGE issue if the swine flu should slightly mutate or combine with another virus. The fewer times that it effectively takes up in a human host, the fewer oppurtunities for it to mutate. I don't have time right now to look for Surepip's posts - it was about three or four weeks ago. But, it -

I don't care about his sexuality. I'm just as turned off by blatant heterosexuality. There are just things in this world that I just don't need to know about most people. I'm not homophobic - I guess you can say I'm blantant sexualuty phobic. I don't need to see someone's boobs, butts, etc. in public to appreciate them. A straight guy that thinks I need to know all about his amazing pecs and abs isn't going to do it for me either. Am I being clear?? And, alot of times, folks like this make me wonder is he truly comfortable with who he is or is he trying to be so over the top that pe

Never mind - jcsmom's hubby just got a job for the next 35 days - he's leaving in a little while once his bags are packed.

See, I just don't think he's that good looking - he can sing. I'll be more interested to see what he does on his own. To be honest, I just think he's a publicity whore. He's working what he's got for as long as he can. Then, he'll fade into the background - just not overwhelmed that much by him.

foot by foot????

Are you being sarcastics or what's the crinklyee face for??

Great minds think alike and at the same speed.

Do you leave your kids in the car alone?
mhparker92 replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Yes, I do on occassion. I do a quick safety analysis of the situation and determine which is better. Dragging my kids through a crowded parking lot which will take longer than the actual mission I'm on - often paying for gas at a pay at the pump that's decided to not be a pay at the pump pump, I think, is not safer than leaving them there. Keys out - doors locked - they know the rules. Mine are 10 and 13 and I've probably allowed this for about the last year or so. You just gotta think about your surroundings sometimes. BTW, I absolutely hate these cases when some criminal steals -
Probably my life changing moment - when the paradigm truly shifted - was an auto accident that I had worked in Northern VA. A husband was following his wife home. He was driving his brand new jaguar. She was in front of him with the kids. They got on the interstate and he wrecked his car. He ended up in a trench that the gas company had dug to put gas mains under the interstate. He hit the protection steel plates around the trench so hard that he moved the plates 8 ft to one side and then his car fell in head first. If the VDOT guy hadn't been behind him and witnessed it, he would have

So who has their Thanksgiving dinner planned out?
mhparker92 replied to Lady Raider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Can't make plans until we decide if we're going to VA this year. That's been the tradition the last few years - both my inlaws health isn't what it should be. So, if I'm home - I'll cook a HUGE feast. I love cooking thanksgiving turkey. May get Dad to smoke the turkey for me. But, still.... If in VA - FIL will do order out from somewhere. Since they don't really cook anymore - he's over the top OCD about the kitchen being clean - he doesn't allow anyone to cook and complains about the food being out. He will be on his hands and knees scrubbing the floor before the pie is even serve -
I understand from some of the guys that work on the lines that If you are generally in the area of Hiram Sudie and 92 - there are still hiccups in the new SLIC that they put in after the flood - he told me alot of the technical side. Keep trying - that's all I've been able to do. But, my bounce back of att and bellsouth email has greatly reduced in the last week.

No, but she saw beavers, bobwhites, and bears!!! (and a few other critters to boot)

She did mine in a size that was available through Sam's online photo center - had them in an hour for about 38 cents apiece. Paid her a small fee to put it together for me. You might want to consider it.

Last year - Ginger Whiteas Photography did mine - it was amazing - no saying necessary.

Can't wait to get our soccer bags back!!! The kids are so excited. And, youngest's bag has just about fallen apart - hopefully it'll make it through today.

I can give you some contact info - I've been working with them for years. My son carries a blanket that is similiar to Linus' - it's just my way of giving back.

Drove through there as fire/rescue pulled up - everyone was out of their vehicles and seemed to be fine - explorer appeared to have rolled at least once - driver was fine. Sports car was TORE up. But, again, driver out of the car. wet pavement + speed + not being careful = t-boned accident!!

Situation/Problem I've Never Thought About Before
mhparker92 replied to kmhmom's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I have the contact info of a man that does book restoration - don't know what it would cost. I have a treasured book from my childhood that I will get restored in the near future. I would just wrap it in archival tissue paper and put it away. I wouldn't get rid of it and I would destroy it. I have my family Bible and my mother has her mother's Bible. A few years ago (my grandmother died in 1981) a leave came sliding out of it. My mother burst into tears - she's fairly certain of when my grandmother put the leaf in there almost 30 years ago. -
