Yea, we're a little crazy. But, we had alot of fun. I'm still realing from all the great food that our grubby made for us - spaghett with sauce that was amazing - french toast and bacon - chicken and dumplings that my grandmother would have been proud of - bbq pork loin, bean soup, cornbread, roast corn, apple crumb dump cake - cheese grits and bacon - OMG - the eatings were good. Funny story - saturday morning - when headed out of the tent - I had a bunch of snow dumped on my head - didn't realize it had snowed and when I unzipped the tent and stepped out - the snow slid off the tent an

Just in case anyone was wondering - the crazy 5 scout leaders that went camping this weekend up near Blairsville all not only survived the weekend, but had a blast. It was 2 degrees Saturday morning. We were snowed on both night (giving us the very valued white tipped claw). We dealt with frozen fuel, frozen o-rings, frozen water, frozen eggs (have you ever seen an egg instantly freeze on contact with the bowl after being cracked), thawed bacon freezing within minutes. And, yes, we had an amazing time. Learned alot, fellowshiped with friends that we hadn't seen in a while, met some n

Okay - we're back. Had a great time. It was 2 degrees yesterday morning; it was 7 degrees this morning so I know. We played some great games. Learned alot of new skills. Ate some AMAZING food. Had an amazing cook for our patrol. We had so much fun!! -

I've camped in much worse weather - being from VA/MD - we do this all the time. In PA - they have an annual Camp Icicle for the boys and the adults - less than 6 inches of snow was considered a wimpy year. They built igloos, etc. So, in a world where all things are relative, it's really not that cold to me. I've got the 0 degree bags packed, four season tent (that ways a ton for not being canvas), layers upon layers, hats (one for day, one for night), etc. This is going to be a blast (and not just a chilly one). -

A paulding guy (I know it would have to be a guy, 'cos I'm the only gal going from 'round here) or another district??? Scouts isn't just for kids - plus this is also a training exercise in developing winter program, etc. There's always a way to bend this - wanna go with us next year? -

TENT!!! I wouldn't stay in a dorm - that's not camping!! Don't worry - I've got hubby's four season tent that's the same thing that the army rangers use. ! And, I'm tenting with another bobwhite - it's gonna be so much fun. -

Yea, I know. But, I really don't want to miss it. I'll be safe. And, I have a pretty good idea of when I'm pushing too hard. I'll turn around if things get too dicey. I'm crazy - not stupid. ! You ought to get a patrol together and go - it's a blast. -

Yep - I've got all the clothes packed - got all the gear - we're good to go. I'd rather camp in the cold than camp in the hot weather. I can add more layers - I can only strip down so far (scary thought). -

I'm going and five others from this county. We're being joined by another scouter in Milton District. I"M SO EXCITED. I've got a few things to finish up here and then I'll start packing the truck. It's going to be alot warmer than we though - and there's 2 INCHES OF SNOW on the ground. ! Mr. JTH isn't going. He's staying home with the boys. And, next weekend - Staff Dev #2 for spring course. Scouting Hoo!! -
I'll let you know as soon as hubby gets to work. He's insisting on going out. I'm not sure he'll get out of the neighborhood - we have one hill that's pretty bad. But, I'll post if he makes it. Just an FYI - already started - got everything together - will start the spreadsheet next week.

This could be our friend's wreck. She is fine - car is relatively better than it could have been. She hit a patch of black ice and rolled. She was able to crawl out the window. I've been to D'ville and back tonight. The roads are awful. Stay on the main roads and be careful.

Don't get me started on this topic - my ped has closed her office because she was losing so much money on -care patients. I'm watching my industry start to be hit with FDA conversations about the "depth" of their study data. Mammograms are being questioned. Hubby's former med is being reviewed by the FDA. It's going to be really great health care once the government gets rid of removing all the available solutions. I'm starting to get truly scared. Our copay with BCBS is about $1.90 a shot - not that bad - except I have to write a ridiculously small check once a month.

I like A the best - I see no reason for a week off in September. I hate getting out in June - when our schedule is so far off everyone else's around us - our kids get screwed - white water closes according to Cobb's schedule, Six flags closes, our boy scout calendar is messed up - our boys lose oppurtunities because they're still in school. I would rather them be in school where it's AC in August rather than playing outside when it's so blasted hot. And, I would rather be able to do things with them at the beginning of summer while it's cool. I like graduation being on Memorial Da

A friend of mine is fighting this battle. She's 32 and has four children under the age of 9. She and her husband decided to throw abosolutely everything the medical community could offer at her cancer so that she had the best chance of survival and thriving. She did both chemo and radiation, then she had a double masectomy (sp?). She opted for that because she wanted absolutely to know that all of it was gone. And, she figured with all she'd been through - why should have saggy worn out boobs anymore? Attitude is your best friend. And, surround yourself with help. You're gonna nee

I don't think you have anything wrong with your heat pump. Heat pumps do not work effciently much below 20 degrees F. It's the nature of the technology. The problem, really, is that it's soooo cold that there is no heat for the heat pump to extract from the ambient air outside (which is how a heat pump works). And, auxilary heat, in my experience, really doesn't work all that well. You're going to have to do the old fashioned method of fire in the fire place, space heaters, etc. I feel your pain - we have a gas furnance, but the blower went out. We've been heating with the fire place

I can hook you up with a SM from the 80's. Ginger's hubby is the fireworks guy. Trying to get his kid in the troop when he turns 11. Momnteacher - send him our way - we've just about mastered the whole - get your Eagle right before you turn 18. We'd love to have him. And, he'd know some of the boys already - we have boys from hiram and South. Folks -this is going to be an amazing event. 1Novella has a vision that is just fantastic. JMT - you may want to reschedule that trip - you're going to regret not being able to put this one on your resume. ! -
They are usually the plans that are offered through the unions (UAE - teamsters) - low or no co-pay, low or no prescription cost, basically, very little out of pocket costs. Can't believe they're going to screw the unions. That doesn't seem like that's going to fly.

Ragsdale came out today to fix ours - they're $80 for the call and they have a $30 coupon on their website. Steve Robinson came out today and did our work - he was clean, neat, efficient, and I'm warm tonight.

Yep - you want them?

I found nine different usb cables and chargers in my desk that I have absolutely no need for. I've cleaned out to what I actually need and the rest are up for grabs. PM me your address and I'll throw them in the mail to you. Please - I just want them out of my life.

I make it like 1stime mom - cook the macaroni. To make the cheese sauce - I basically make a gravy with butter, flour, and milk. Then, I add the cheese and stir til melted. Then, I mix the macaroni and cheese sauce - pour in baking dish - cover with more cheese - and bake - 350 - 30 minutes. I used whatever cheese I have in the frig - variety is a good thing. But, there are some on here that I'm gonna try - maybe even the crockpot version today. !

Take it to Gamer's Trade at 41 and Mars Hill - the guy there is great. He can fix just about anything. And, he's quick about it. i was very, very pleased when we took oldest's psp there and then we had him fix youngest original DS. -
Tina Drummond - she's a commerce member here (if i remember correctly, she's barbed wire). We found her when we had to fire our accountant 2 days before taxes were due over a dispute on deductions. I have small businesss and traditional w-2 income. She also does my parents business (inc) and personal taxes during the year. She has a couple of other clients here on p.com. My husband is crazy over the details and has never found a mistake. Give her a call - she's worth it.

Yea, we might have to make some of these. I think WalMart had the bottles this year, didn't they? I'll check today.

We took classes at the studio that used to be in this county. She was great. Life must have really changed for her - her classes were always packed. Oh well. I'd love to take them. One of the dance studios had classes - I just can't go in the evening. I desprately need to go as well. I'm so stiff now. Let me know if someone finds a class during the day.
