  1. This is my cousin!!!! Matt Kennon is his name. I posted about him on here a while back, he is really doing well and I am so happy for him!!!!!
  2. Thanks, they really are lucky. They have amazing grandparents on both sides. I do hope they remember the little fun things like this forever.
  3. That's a cute idea! My parents recently moved in with us and my mom loves to do stuff with the kids that they did when I was little.
  4. My mom worked hard on making a scavenger hunt for my kids and I wanted to share it with you, it was so cute! She came up with the clues on her own, printed them and hid them in plastic eggs around the house. 1. A big poster that said, " (kid's names) Here's an Easter surprise! I hope you are both very CLEVER and WISE. The Easter Bunny left an extra Gift for you two. To get to the treasure Follow the CLUES!! 2. Where would you go to find something to eat? Figure it out to get close to your treat. (pantry) 3. Congratulations! You've found the next clue! Now where
  5. Chic-Fil-A and Publix have always been great for me!
  6. Ice cream men creep me out too. In our old neighborhood the guy drove a dingy faded brown van with no windows, and played creeeepy music. No thanks.
  7. My husband is working there today and he actually saw the body. Police were already there. So sad
  8. That will work, but the harness is only recommended up to 40 lbs, then you are supposed to switch to the seatbelt. I like the ones that are approved for 65 lbs with the harness. Like this: http://www.target.com/Graco-Nautilus-3-Car-Seat/dp/B0011URFRE/ref=sc_qi_detailbutton ETA: Now you've got me searching for car seats, LOL. Here is one for under $100 that fits what you need. Harness up to 65 lbs. Reviews seem good, a few bad reviews but any car seat can get that because installation can be tricky until you get used to it. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=
  9. I'm sure it's okay, but waiting a while longer feels safer to me. There are so many car seats to choose from, you should be able to find one that will fit her until she is ready to go to just a seatbelt and nothing else. My daughter's seat is a high back booster with a 5-point harness up to 65 lbs. Then, you take the harness out and use the seatbelt. Then you can take the back off and it is just a backless booster. A good one will probably cost over $100 but worth it in the long run.
  10. My daughter will be 5 in May, is tall for her age and is still in a 5-point harness. I just feel like she is safer that way. Here is one that uses a harness up to 65 lbs.. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3999394
  11. What's the budget? If you want electronics you could go for an iPod..
  12. Here's the song Mike sang... I'd never heard of it.
  13. Me either. I can't figure out what song it is.. ?
  14. Ha ha no, my kid didn't ring the doorbell. But he did pee in his laundry hamper on the way out! I guess I can laugh about it now, 4 years later.
  15. Wow, that is so scary! When my son was about 3, we were all asleep in bed and I heard our front door alarm chime. I got up, went downstairs to find my son standing naked in the front yard crying. He was sleep-walking. Thank God for that door chime, otherwise I wouldn't have heard a thing.
  16. I am thin. Genetically thin. I weigh between 107 and 110 lbs depending on the time of day, and this is after having 2 children. After each pregnancy I snapped back to my pre-pregnancy weight within 6 weeks. I do absolutely NOTHING to maintain my weight, other than normal activity. I don't work out. I eat just as much as anyone woman I know who is overweight. Coke is my weakness, I drink it often. Why should I be rewarded and overweight people punished? If you work your ass off everyday to be thin, then good for you, but most of the friends I have who are thin were just made that way.
  17. I think it's fine if you tell the person that you would like to give a gift, and ask what they would prefer. But to send out emails or invitations stating what you want or where you are registered is tacky to me.
  18. They probably just googled, then cut and paste. "répondez s'il vous plaît"
  19. I asked my 4 year old daughter the questions.. Here are her answers. I didn't change anything, typed exactly what she said. 1. HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHO TO MARRY? You just walk around and see boys.. then pick one. 2. WHAT IS THE RIGHT AGE TO GET MARRIED? 13 because it's bigger than any number. 3. HOW CAN A STRANGER TELL IF 2 PEOPLE ARE MARRIED? If they had a ring on. 4. WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR MOM AND DAD HAVE IN COMMON? You both like grown-up shows. 5. WHAT DO MOST PEOPLE DO ON A DATE? They give you a ring and they go out and have dinner. 6.
  20. That's awesome, great job! I might borrow your idea on Thursday..
  21. My mom has taken Vistaril in the past for depression. I just asked her about it and she said the only side effect she noticed was that it was very sedating. And she also said (as another poster did) that doctors often prescribe medications for different reasons that they are intended. Good luck to your sister and I hope the meds help.
  22. I don't know the relationship of the person who "un-friended" you, but sometimes people remove family members because of comments made by friends. My husband has a bunch of Army friends that he likes to keep in touch with on FB, and sometimes they leave vulgar comments or say things that you wouldn't want your parents, grandparents etc.. to read. So he removed a lot of family members. Don't take it personally, it's just Facebook.
  23. I agree! My MIL lives in the neighborhood at that intersection (Due West Estates) and it is so dangerous trying to pull out, even just turning right. There have been several fatalities there.
