  1. I disagree with the getting over it quickly part. I had it in my teen years and for about five days I felt like I couldn't move, not necessarily hurting but just completely worn out. When I saw the doctor he said let me as you a question. If the house was on fire today and you were given the option to get out or just lay there and take your chances, what would you do? I said, lay there and take my chances. He said, ok, you have mono but let's get the test back to confirm. I was back in school in four days I believe but I did not have the energy like I used to for well over a year probab
  2. I agree, I know there is a big thick plate of glass there but I just don't think I could watch my kid sit there like that....
  3. My wife's didn't have the seal and we submitted it, the agent warned us it might be an issue, but it went through with no issue. We went ahead and ordered the one they wanted but we had the passports quick, really quick. I would say try it with what you have, order the other one and if they send you the sheet to submit the other one you will have it by then hopefully.
  4. Can't get much more of a high dollar trip than that! Showoff...
  5. Isn't there a back pack program that sends food home with kids who would otherwise have none over the weekend? Not sure who would be involved with that, but sounds like a good cause.
  6. I had a friend a long time ago that was young and stupid, came around a turn on Mars Hill WAY too fast and took out a brick mailbox with his drivers side door and went down an embankment almost into a lake. He REALLY screwed up his shoulder because the door came in on him. He sued because of the mailbox being brick and had a really nice, expensive car as a graduation present compliments of the guys homeowners policy. It was crazy...
  7. Yeah a little too great apparently... She decided yesterday that the yard look so good and her flower beds were looking not so great, so yesterday was a fun day of spreading thirty bags of mulch... again... Dang Turf King...
  8. She said she justs sits in the dining room and looks out the window at it... I hope we can send Kevin LOTS of business, super nice guy and does quality work. I was about to say "you have no idea" but I know from your pm's you do!
  9. Turf King ROCKS! My Mom is a very happy camper! She was on a limited budget which I am sure made our search for a landcaping company tougher but they came through and were patient right to the end with our questions/changes. We ended up buying her a new pink dogwood (As a surprise early Mothers Day present) to put in the yard because she figured she would miss having a tree there, even though the old tree was a hideous 40 something foot tree that killed almost all signs of grass on her lawn. I also have to commend LC Stump Grinding that I found on a search on p.com, even Turf King stated
  10. In some cases that MIGHT be true, but not in the case of the episode last night. The woman was a lazy ass... Kept blaming the house getting the way i was on the kids. But yet it was her toilet paper piled against the wall, her needles, her femine pads, etc. In the end when it was cleaned up she said her daughter was doing a wonderful job keeping it up. Meaning, her daughter was doing it all I am sure. She needs help, but more of a kick in the ass than anything else.
  11. OK, I get the whole emotional issue thing where people want to collect things and don't want to let them go. But this woman tonight for example, trash EVERYWHERE, feminine products EVERYWHERE, used toilet paper EVERYWHERE, insulin needles EVERYWHERE, roaches EVERYWHERE and all she does is blame her kids for letting it get that way. As I said, I can see the weird collecting of things but just to throw trash around and walk all over that stuff I cannot believe the authorities wouldn't yank the kids at first sight of that place much less let a tv air it begging them to clean it up. Who kno
  12. Mr. Pog mo thoin might have a justifiable canning in order...
  13. Who cares why we need another bank, there's another dozen or so jobs for the area, keep on building em!
  14. OMG did you read the one about the guy who kept passing out in his car at McD's and choked on his hamburger when they tried to wake him...
  15. I believe a while ago a guy was posting that he lived in Saddlebrook Farms telling everyone he was selling almost everything in the house to come take a look before it was taken by the bank. If I recall correctly it was garage doors, light fixtures, appliances, etc. He said he added the items after the fact, and while that's all well and good, you should put the original stuff back and if you don't have the original equipment, LEAVE what you put in. This kind of trashing is killing the values more than the foreclosure itself...
  16. Yeah but back then one dollar would have bought a new car or sumpin wouldn't it have?
  17. We did $5 for the first tooth and then after that it was always $1 plus a special coin. (Usually the gold dollar coins).
  18. I vote they are suspended without pay for ignoring the word of the people...
