I laid down to bed and then felt the bed shake. I got up to see what was going on. Now that I saw your post, I can rest easy.

I've observed over many years now how so many women, especially married women seem to think that Valentine's Day is only about them. They expect their husband to get them all kinds of nice things on this day, but they do nothing for him.

The school superintendent did the right thing this time. When I went to school in Augusta, there were no such thing as snow days or rain days. If school was canceled due to the weather, we had to make it up on Saturday. I kid you not. When we had the snowstorm in Feb. 1973, we missed three days of school. They wanted us to make them up the next three Saturdays. Needless to say, attendance was pretty poor on those makeup days.

You come across as narcissistic. At least that's my opinion.

I don't have enough information to form an opinion on who is right or wrong in this scenario. I don't know what the back story is or anything. I will say this though; it's a shame any parent would use their children to hurt the other parent. Those type of people just make me sick. When a couple gets a divorce, neither parent has an obligation to inform the children why. All it does is confuse them and force them to take sides.

I remember watching the Beatles on the Sullivan show 50 years ago tonight. I was 7-yrs old. Also 50 years ago, they released the first GI Joes.
