What good is insurance that requires a person in the poverty level to pay a $6,000 deductible before the insurance starts to pay 80% of the costs? $6,000 for someone in the poverty level might as well be $600,000. Hell, a lot of middle-class people will find that deductible a little difficult to pay. I don't see how anyone can say ObamaCare is such a good thing. Those who already had health insurance have seen theirs canceled or their premiums and deductibles increased significantly.

I think a 10-day suspension for possessing drugs or alcohol in school is fair. High school kids should know that even taking either to school is going to get them in trouble when caught. In the example given of the girls caught drinking during a basketball game, suspending them beyond 10 days was fair in my point of view. One of the girls was walking on the court during the game. The temperatures today and tomorrow are considerably lower than average for us this time of year and quite out of the ordinary. The schools weren't constructed with these extreme cold temperatures in mind. I think besides the additional cost for the fuel additive necessary for the buses in these extreme cold temperatures, the cost of the heat running almost continuously. There is also the factor of safety that comes into play having children standing outside waiting for the school buses in the morning when temperatures were predicted to be near zero with the windchill factored in today

White County canceled schools for Monday and Tuesday. They announced their closings at about 9 last night. Gainesville announced at around 6 last night their schools would be closed Monday.

The NFL didn't keep stats on injuries before these recent lawsuits started occurring. Many of the participants of these suits are guys who played 20 years or more ago.

Gainesville has already cancelled school for tomorrow.

I remember while I lived in Michigan, if the weather forecast said you were going to get more than 6", you usually received nothing more than an inch. When they forecasted an inch or two, you could wake up and find a foot of new snow on the ground.
