Do you have a gas grill? I use mine to cook hot meals when the power goes out. Of course I have to stand outside while I cook, but that's not too bad.

Let the fun begin!!!

She definitely should have gone to jail. I read an article where she was interviewed. She said an OU fan was harassing her son. She said she had a few alcoholic drinks, but she was not intoxicated. Riiiiiight.

What's for supper this cold wintery evening ?

We're having navy bean soup. We have a large ham bone left over from the Christmas ham we're using. -
What Blue fails to realize is, when you have 50,000 or more people packed into a football stadium, there are going to be quite a few asshats present regardless of where the stadium is located, if it's NCAA or NFL football, or what conference the teams are from. The problem is compounded when these asshats drink alcohol just before the game or during the game. Blue does know this though. He just wants everyone to think he's superior and the people from the south are nothing more than a bunch of redneck morons. He knows damn well there are a bunch of redneck morons in the north as well a

"Folks like me?" Now that's funny right there.

The major concern should be the ice we will most likely get. If it's still raining as the temp drops to around freezing - look out.

The same thing can be said about Michigan fans.

The gas pumps themselves have filters that keep junk from getting into your gas tank. I've never had a problem with gas I put in my tank while the tanks are being refilled.

I went to the Marietta office last year to replace mine. I was in and out in a half-hour.

I wish someone would remove the posts about the airport from here and put them in the airport thread as this topic hasn't anything to do with the airport. I don't know why people are getting so worked up about the convention center. It has already been made clear this would be something private entities should build. For crying out loud folks, it was a feasibility study to see if one could be viable in the county. Personally, I don't see how it could be successful because there just isn't anything in Paulding to attract companies or organizations to hold conferences or conventions here.

I'd be surprised if a national hotel chain would invest in such project in Paulding. I also doubt the BoC would invest $18M in this as well. When companies or organizations have conferences, they usually want to have them someplace where there are things to do after hours and you just don't have that in Paulding. The conference center in Marietta isn't used as much as they would like it because it's too close to Atlanta and too far from Hartsfield. Atlanta has several places that accommodate large conferences. I've had to attend many conferences with my previous employer. These confer

Changes to High School Graduation and HOPE

I'm surprised people haven't read the article I linked in the OP. If they had, they would have learned the pathway program is changing. -
I enjoy college football a lot more than the NFL. College players appear to play harder because they're trying to impress the scouts. Once they get into the NFL and sign the big contracts, they appear not to take the risks they used to in college to gain extra yardage or catch the ball. NFL players for the most part don't play for the love of the game as players like Jack Youngblood did; they play for the big paycheck.

My doctor is trying to convince me to use the gel as he says he uses it and it works great. My wife is a Nurse Practitioner and recommends the shots. She says with the shots you can maintain the levels a lot better than with the gel; besides she can administer the shots.

Your insurance doesn't cover hormone replacement therapy? I thought most did.

I know. I hate that.

I agree. Look at football when they wore leather helmets without face masks. Not much protection for the head and definitely no protection for the face. It's no wonder so many football players back then were missing teeth and had crooked noses. The big difference today than back in the day is, they didn't track injuries back then like they do now.

Changes to High School Graduation and HOPE

Your niece is an example as to why I oppose forcing 8th graders into a career pathway they can't get out of after the 9th grade. What she really wanted to pursue she couldn't. Her second choice was already full. Then she was forced to pick something just to pick something. The career pathway did absolutely nothing to help your niece in obtaining the career goal she really wanted. -
Changes to High School Graduation and HOPE

I don't think school officials or anyone else for that matter should tell a child what they should be when they grow up and then force them into that direction. People should always try to work in a career they find personally rewarding. If it's something they dislike doing, the chances are they will become unhappy people if they feel stuck in it. When I was an Army recruiter, I would have applicants who were stuck on wanting just one particular job. I encouraged them to keep an open mind and let the career counselor show them all the jobs they were qualified for and to take a good look -

13 states raising pay for minimum-wage workers
Foxmeister replied to lucky64's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Do any of you who think raising the minimum wage really helps those making minimum wage? The following information was obtained from the US Department of Labor of the minimum wage by year: 1968, $1.60 1974, $2.00 1975, $2.10 1976, $2.30 1978, $2.65 1979, $2.90 1980 $3.10 1981, $3.35 1990, $3.80 1991, $4.25 1996, $4.75 1997, $5.15 2007, $5.85 2008, $6.55 2009, $7.25 In 1968, the minimum wage had its highest purchasing power ($10.77 in 2013 dollars). The minimum wage earners in 1968 were better off than those today. People are under the false impression that when minim -
For all the guys who are 50 and older; you may want to get your hormone levels checked. You may find out your testosterone levels have dropped. Low testosterone can be the cause of your gut sticking out somewhat, tiring easily, low sex drive and some other concerns. Hormone replacement treatment is said to do wonders for all of this. I've been tiring easily the last couple of years and am making an appointment to have my levels checked. Ladies, especially those going through menopause experience estrogen levels decreasing. I've read where hormone replacement therapy to increase your e
