  1. Was jackson still into the racism militant black panther stuff? i remember an interview with him a few years ago and the topic came up something about stores burning in his old neighborhood, etc. -- I do remember his response was, some white people need to be taught a lesson.
  2. i agree, and keep in mind being knocked unconscious would move you up to the front of the line at the typical E.R.

  4. yeah, i wonder that myself. I thought all the muslims were supposed to stick together --- here in america, a significant number of blacks are muslim (although not locally in the south, unless you count the prisons too)
  5. not all docs play the game, but yes, doctors scripts are tracked and the drug reps comp gifts, money, and other incentives, etc for docs that send patients their direction. here is one of the many articles out there: http://www.aolnews.com/2010/10/20/report-drug-company-cash-affects-doctors-prescriptions/ and there are those that would say not to go to a chiropractor for "medical" advice too -- only an M.D.
  6. check to make sure your school and teacher are registered so they can start logging students reading hours "Kids in grades kindergarten through sixth who complete six hours of non-school-related reading, including picture books, newspapers, comic books, novels and nonfiction materials, are eligible to earn a free admission ticket from Six Flags Over Georgia. The reward is part of Read to Succeed, a Discovery Education program geared to encourage students to read outside of the classroom." http://readtosucceed.discoveryeducation.com/
  7. from the AJC "A Walmart employee was stabbed by a woman attempting to shoplift items from the Cartersville store, Bartow County police said Sunday. But the woman was quickly taken into custody, thanks to two off-duty Acworth police officers." http://www.ajc.com/news/walmart-employee-stabbed-by-1257081.html
  8. maybe we need the government to step in and protect us from hot soup --- as in seinfeld's soup nazi, "no soup for you"
  9. I have a friend that was working a few years ago at smyrna police distributers (for those that do not know, it is a store for police / ems / security, etc. items) --- he said they were having stuff shoplifted almost every day. To be completely honest though, when they did catch a shoplifter, it was usually a security guard or jailer, not usually a police officer or fireman, etc.
  10. the closest i know of is in douglasville --- highway 5 down near Big A road, in a shopping center kind of across the street from the tractor dealer and elementary school

  17. come on -- $3 at amazon for a ac power supply? even with shipping you are out the door for under $10 ------ of course, any power supply will work as long as it will physically plug in and has 20 volts DC output and 70 watts. the real money is spent on the battery @ $50+
  18. There are only two types of switches, "normally open" or "normally closed" to complete the circuit. While i do not know which switch type you have, to bypass the safety switch, you would only need to either cut one of the wires to open the circuit or splice the two wires together to complete the circuit.
  19. I agree, sit by the tree & read a good book
  20. just 2 questions ---- why does santa need a ballistic vest? and where is his beard?
  21. The wraps are great for detox, losing inches temporarily, and making your skin smoother. However, as far as losing weight or body fat, no way. --- other than perhaps helping you change your mindset and eating habits, etc. Also, watch for the companies claiming "6 inches or free", etc. Many of them will measure you with the tape loose in the beginning, and tighter around the areas after wrapping. Here are a few sites that examine the fact or scam issues with the various wraps, including the governments FTC web site for consumer scams: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/microsites/redflag
  22. i would be more than willing to start a non-profit if they would supply me with all that free labor -- 24 hours a week per "volunteer"
  23. Lowes has 98 cent poinsettia flowers (1 quart size) until they are sold out. While out visiting this season, don't go empty handed ! http://www.lowes.com/ProductDisplay?partNumber=93440-67805-NURSERY&langId=-1&storeId=10151&productId=3556338&catalogId=10051&cmRelshp=req&rel=nofollow&cId=PDIO1
  24. If all holidays were treated the same, it would not be an issue. So all stores should be closed on 4th of july, MLK day, veterans day, etc --- that is what the banks and post offices do
