Ya'll crack me up . The tickets are a great idea! I put scratch off lottery tickets on gifts and in stockings a few years ago but had forgotten it this year, after basically "skipping" the last 3 dreadful years. I have an "idea book" I'm adding these to. That's also how I keep track of gifts I buy thru the year for all occassions b/c I can't always put them all in the same hiding place . Thanks! I guess I havent been the only one giving body wash, Blistex, Tylenol travel packs, mens face moisturizer(which is a big hit , BTW!) and toothbrushes . M&M's are ALWAYS good!

I guess every family does this a little differently. I was talking to some friends on Christmas and when I told them how I always fill stockings for my family(all immediate family...kids, adults)they acted like they had never heard of such . I start in the summer stocking up on important things you use daily, or almost daily. The title search and title insurance would scare me too much. NOT worth it. You can have a MAJOR title issue many years down the road. Not to even mention all the other reasons. I really didnt ask for anything this year other than just to be able to cook, decorate and ENJOY the whole Season, which I have done and I'm still doing. I've never liked getting jewelery from anybody unless I helped to pick it out but he took the plunge and did great on his own. hear hear! To hobbit-sized redheads that dont take no $%#@!!!!! I cannot imagine teens feeling so entitled. Our generation of parents are a bunch of pushover pansies. My parents would have told the police to do with us what they would and then the punishment wouldve been WORSE at home. But, this stuff NEVER crossed our minds! We respected adults. I love it! I miss caroling. I used to be part of a group that did it every year. We found elderly shut-ins to sing to and visit with....took them a small basket of fruit and goodies. It was always my favorite part of Christmas. Most of them would cry and didnt want us to leave. Glad you had such a gift! You certainly deserve some returned kindness for all you do for others.

Wow, I REALLY hate to hear that about your brother. What a shame. A heart attck can leave so much damage and it seems, so often, it couldve been prevented or lessened if a dr. would've been more thorough or listened more closely to their patient. <u uncle had a heart attck from mixing the wrong meds. He kept going back telling them something was wrong. He had swollen arms, pain, etc. AFTER the heart attck, they "figured it out". I know they arent God and I dont expect them to be, but it just seems like that in cases such as his and mine, a dr would/should "dig" a little harder to get to the

Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssss! I was sooooo sleep deprived, sick and beyond agititated. My dr. sent orders to the ER of what to give me and to get me out of there asap to go home, sleep and see him the next day(he was even going to see me with no appt). Well, apparently, I got one of those "lets pretend I'm God" ,squatty, little ER docs who did NOTHING my OB said to do. When I asked why he wouldnt give me the shot he ordered and sleep meds, he cut me off and said , "not THIS doc". I still order from her. Got my Christmas gifts for family from her a few weeks ago and, as always, got them quickly and the box itself smelled soooooo good coming out of my mailbox! LOVE her soaps! Hempy Hippie is my favorite! Been using it for years.
