  4. Oh my goodness! She is GORGEOUS, like her Mama! I want to hug her, Postman!!! Please share her pics as often as you wish. She is a living doll and you SHOULD be proud!
  5. This brings back a hilarious memory for me and I thank you for that! We lived right in the heart of downtown Marietta. We were involved in everything and so were our parents so we got a lot of knocks at the door. My Mom did not like imptomptu company, although as the perfect hostess, she never would've admitted it. She was a tall woman built like a runway model- looong legs. When someone knocked, she would leap up onto the armchair next to the front door straddling both arms with her legs so that she could look out the transom windows and not be spotted by the guests. Sometimes she ope
  6. You said it ALL so perfectly, LPPT. I couldnt agree with you more. Heaven welcomed Miss Jessie Home. Thank the OP for the great pictures.
  7. awwwwwwwwww! I just read your sweet post out loud to Will. If you're still up for it next year, we might just do that. I miss Christmas there so much.
  8. homesick. Subby can bang on those pie-annie keys like nobody's business. Let me go back to my crying now....................... .
  9. She's actually not our child. She is my Husbands neice. She was removed from her parents home after abuse(she is their second child who has been removed). We were trying to foster/adopt her and have been in the process for months. The judge placed her in a foster home(they already had other foster children)for a year until he makes any ruling. This was a complete stranger who came to connect direct tv. He and I were talking and I was telling him about our journey with this b/c he said they had foster children. He just listened to what I was describing and knew it was the little girl that they
  10. Alyssa's foster parents brought us Halloween pics of her with their other children. She was dressed as a pink bunny with HUGE, floppy ears(fuzzy like an old fashioned teddy bear). She was holding a bag full of candy in one pic. She would NEVER EVER EVER have had anything even REMOTELY like this happen if she was with her birth parents. She is all smiles and just literally glowing in every picture. They told us that, so far, she has shown no signs of anything from her very traumatic and sad beginnings in life. A fuzzy bunny costume with floppy ears and a bag full of candy....I know a l
  11. I left a box of non perishable food at my Dads house in New Hope when we were in town. I can msg you the address if you'd like to pick it up?
  12. I love this tribute for all the loved ones we have lost this year. In a few days, it will be 4 years since I lost my best friend, my biggest fan, my confidant- my Mother. I love this for all of them. Thank you, Subby. You are so talented. Thank you for sharing it with us.
  13. Now you all have ME cryin! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for every word! It means so much to us and is just more proof that God is in control and I'm gonna let Him. He does such a better job at things that I do! I have read all of your replies over and over today and it means so much. I am just overwhelmed that the God who spoke the Universe into existence cared enough to set up such a meeting as the one we had the other night? Isnt that just amazing? What other "god" feels compassion for his children even when they stumble and fall...even when they doubt? There is only one. He has been so goo
  14. That is horrible. Its good I wasnt there b/c I couldnt have kept my big mouth shut as well as you. I cannot stand anyone picking on a helpless person- someone who clearly cannot fully reason or even care for themselves. But for the grace of God, we could be there, at any point.
  15. Isn't it ironic how someone like Miss Jessie, who really didnt have anything material, gave so much to those who took a second to look a little deeper inside. She will be missed but I can just see her with that tambourine in Heaven dancing, singing and praising God with her new body- free from grief and pain.
  16. Hez got hem sum smartz! Seriously! You SHOULD be bragging. Children don't just "happpen" to grow up to do things like he is doing and will do in the future. The apple never falls far from the tree .
  17. Curtis, you really were the hands and feet of Christ, just as we all should be to those in need. You loved Miss Jessie like God loves us- unconditionally. You put your love into action. Thank you for loving her and letting her know she was a "part" of something.
  18. I've been "churched" my whole life. Because my Parents arent lunatics, this was a good thing and I'm proud of my heritage. However, I have known quite a few preachers wives that were/are insufferable, self centered, annoying, judgemental, spoiled women. And, in EVERY ONE of these cases, their preacher/pastor husband is too weak or whipped to stand up and do anything about it.
